Does what they're supposed to do
Nicely packaged and a decent price. Pop one a day in a cup with my retainers and they seem to be kept nicely fresh. Occasionally gently brush with a toothbrush too.

Fresher and clean
The media could not be loaded. I have had my night guard for a few years now and unfortunately it has looked better. I clean it daily after brushing my teeth but this has made little difference. I liked the idea of these as simple and easy to use and reassuring to know that it helps kills 99% of odour causing bacteria. It’s is comforting as this piece of dental equipment is used nightly. You get three packs with 30 tabs for £11.77, using daily this is a three month supply. Each tablet is individually wrapped, it has perforated edges so could take a few with you if travelling which is convenient. My guard is old and stained, so I wasn’t expecting much to change in this regard it was more for the freshness. You add warm water just above your guard, let soak for 3-5mins, then use the solution to clean with a toothbrush and then dispose. My guard as I expected didn’t look a lot cleaner but when inserted it felt and tasted so much better. If feels fresh and after two days it looks slightly better but still stained, this I’m sure will never lift but if this changes I will let you know.

Excellent
Short soak of dentures didn't leave metallic taste of another well-known brand.

Work well but pricey.
My mum uses denture cleansing tablets for dentures and I use them for my gumshield so we both tested these as we use the tablets for different items.Mum said her dentures were fresh and felt really clean the next morning. I use them during the day for my gumshield to be clean ready for nighttime, I found no difference than other denture cleaners which are a fraction of the price. They dissolve quickly and the water remains clear rather than turning blue. Size wise they're about the size of an old 10p, imagine a rounded new 50p. They're flatter than other denture tablets so probably contain the same weight gram for gram.I think for the price I'd stick with my regular denture tabs as they do the same... Freshen, clean and are antibacterial. The USP of these tabs however is that they're individually sealed with tear off strips so if you're going away you can tear off exactly what you need rather than taking the whole box.For effective cleaning they do the job but I don't think they're worth the price tag.

Cleans well, doesn't de-odourise quite as well as I hoped
I've been wearing a mouthguard at night for some considerable time due to jaw clenching, one of those that is moulded to the shape of the teeth. I try to clean it every day with an old skool manual toothbrush and some toothpaste, but it's really difficult to get in every nook and cranny and doesn't fully deodorise it.Enter these Poligrip tablets. Put the mouthguard in a cup, add warm water, drop in a tablet and wait 3-5 mins. The mouthguard which had turned opaque with a kind of white 'patina' came out completely translucent again as though about to be used for the first time. I was mildly disappointed that it didn't completely remove the odour too, but even so it's still a noticeable and welcome improvement on the toothbrush. Maybe with this guard which I have been using for a while it's too sunk in; perhaps when I ditch this one and start again with a new one it will stay cleaner from the start if I use these.Slightly disappointed from the environmental and recycling point of view about the use of (plasticised?) foil to wrap the tablets. Does it really need this? Wouldn't something paper-based be sufficient?

Super for keeping retainers clean
The media could not be loaded. My son has had his braces removed and now has retainers that need to be worn every night, after a few days they rapidly become smelly so these really are a must for anyone with retainers. These are much nicer than the ones the dentist sold us, these only need 3-5 minutes where the dentist ones used cold water and took 15-30 minutes, which is far too long for a teenager to remember to take them out the solution, at least with it only being 3-5 minutes he can take them out his mouth in the morning and put them into sock whilst he cleans his teeth and once his finished his teeth the solution can be poured away and jobs done for the day, where 15 minutes wait and he had left the roomAnd forgotten to take them out! I have bought him a denture bath pot and he can now easily dissolve one of these in the bath pot every morning and soak his retainers, this leaves them cleaned and smelling nice and minty fresh and bacteria free ready for the next nights wear. Only thing that was slightly annoying if the tear dots are rubbish and you will end up tearing several tablets open, so e have cut across all the lines now so my son can just easily open one each morning rather than struggling to tear them off . Would highly recommend and will use these in future
