Beautiful Replacement
My 40 year-old water bottle croc leaked and I needed a replacement to fit on the stand that I had. This one is perfect! It fits perfectly on the old stand, looks perfectly beautiful, works as it should and I love it! I happened to have a dark blue spout that matched so am using it, and will keep the white one that came with the new croc as a back-up spout. (This croc is not white, but a light grayish blue, that I like and am very happy with. But just so you'll know.)

Prop in a Charlie's Angels Movie
Update: Boo hoo. I just realized the nozzle started leaking a tiny bit recently and it's been forming a puddle ring underneath the ceramic base. I guess I'll try tightening the screw from the inside once I drink enough water and if that doesn't work maybe I'll switch to a metal dispenser?Update #2: I tightened the nozzle all the way and it no longer leaks from the rubber stopper. I believe the instructions said to only tighten it a certain amount but it was too loose.Hooray! The first thing my mother said when she saw this was that it was featured in a Charlie's Angels film and they placed an explosive inside of it.Anyway, I was on the market for a cute, simple water dispenser. I don't need fancy schmancy temperature settings, and I'm not fond of the typical plastic monument-looking dispensers you see in offices. This is perfect! They definitely don't just throw it inside a box and mail it to you like they did in the past. Mine came bubble wrapped inside a small box, which was inside a larger box, which was inside one big box. Nothing was broken and I had all the pieces. I simply screwed the plastic nozzle in with the rubber stoppers and voila! Now I have a neat-o water dispenser in my kitchen. I have had no problems with the plastic nozzle leaking at all, and water doesn't overflow out the top (laws of physics). I simply place a 3 gallon jug on top and that's it. It's pretty heavy ceramic so I don't have any concerns about it moving around the counter or it getting knocked to the ground. If I had to state a con, I guess it would be that the nozzle dispenses water at a slower pace than other dispensers I've used in the past. It's not super slow or anything, but it gradually fills up cups and other receptacles. Besides that, it's everything I wanted in a water dispenser.

Don't waste hours and money on this water dispenser that leaks! WTF, Amazon?
The instructions were confusing, but I got the spigot on ... and it leaks. Two friends with stronger hands tried to tighten it and it still leaks. This is the ceramic not metal version. The lid that I also bought from the same company stinks of chemical perfumes, which is not what someone wants to put their distilled clean water in. I thought it had to be the plastic/silicon parts so spent hours emptying the water, etc. in spite of being in pain. But it turned out to be the lid. Hours on the phone with Amazon and was told I'd have to pay for returning it, so no, that's just insulting. And then to find out it leaks from the spigot. This will be hell to replace while trying to save the water.

Nice base no leaks
This was a very nice space as I expected and I put it together securing the spigot and I have no leaks. I only rated it four stars because the ceramic base came with a very small chip on the bottom back side so check your jug before you install it for chips.

Old school
Uses gravity. No batteries no problems. Small amount of assembly required to put the spigot on the container.

Great for Kombucha
Pros:Way cheaper than over-priced alternativesGreat size for at-home Kombucha brewing; I recommend switching out the spigot for a metal one to prevent leaching of the plastic. Even with paying for the metal spigot separately, you come out $20-30 ahead of alternatives (currently)My previous 2 are still in good shape after 3 years of continuous brewingCons:There is no lip at the top/mouth of the jar. It is smooth. This makes it a little tricky to keep your cloth cover strapped onto the top tight as it just slips/slides off. The lack of a lip at the top will cause your cloth to slip off. The included plastic ring/lip will not fit tightly enough to prevent flies from entering if used for Kombucha brewing. My solution is to:1. First put a wide rubber band around the top/mouth.2. Place your cloth cover over the top/mouth as usual.3. Place another wide rubber band over your cloth cover and around the top/mouth to hold it on.-This way the first rubber band gives your cloth some friction to grip onto, and the second holds it onto the jar. Without the first rubberband, the lack of a lip at the top will cause your cloth to slip off.

Kombucha Making Machine
This review is for the New Wave Enviro Blue Striped Porcelain Jug.Want to start making Continuous Brew Kombucha!?!?! You've found the right product. I've been using this for a month, and I've made a lot of booch. Read on.ABOUT THE PRODUCT - The jug came packaged really well; it was protected with many layers. Thanks New Wave. Once I opened it, I assembled the spout by tightening it with my hand; it doesn't leak at all. This product doesn't come with a stand so I just have it sitting on the edge of my microwave - easy, cheap solution for me. As you can see, it comes with a plastic ring for the top that works perfectly for holding down the "fabric lid" that I made out of an old T-shirt (see the pic).HOW I MADE KOMBUCHA - Once I opened it, I made sure to clean it out with vinegar... not anti-bacteria soap. I put my scoby in with about a gallon of ready to drink booch and a gallon of cooled sweet tea (6 bags black tea and 1 cup sugar). In about 8 days, I used the spout and began the world of continuous brewing. I'm drowning in kombucha over here and I love it.I did NOT receive this product at a discount. I paid full price and would do it again. I've already made enough kombucha in a week to pay for it. :)
