Q: How much water maximum is collected? 2 cups, 3 cups ???

Before we had roof work & gutter covers added, we used these bags monthly and they stopped dampness and odor in our ‘cellar like’ storage basement. They hold a lot and we usually didn’t replace them until they were 2/3 full or more. We were SO pleased to have discovered them. It looks like they each held 3 cups or so. A lot more than we had expected! Our basement is much drier these days so we only use the bags in our zipper clothes bags and they still possibly hold 1 to 1 1/2 cups regularly. SO all that to say the amount they gather and hold depends how wet your basement regularly is. Hope all this helps.

Inside the bag. It has calcium chloride in it, so I am not certain if it is toxic to the environment. One of those "ask goggle" kinda of things. Keep in mind there is a very little amount of the sand, crystals or whatever the sand looking stuff is.

Q: Is it ready to go when you remove from box? Do you have to do anything?

All you need to do is take the pouch out of the box and hang it up. So easy!
