It’s thick and chunky BUT it’s a game boy ! Battery life is decent, there are a lot of games…some are named wrong and there are some duplicates but for $20 (which is actually a rip off as they can be found for as little as $8) it’s amazing. Even comes with a glass screen shield for your phone! The rubber buttons make it hard for sweaty competitive game play in some of the shooters but overall it functions well. Sound is good and you can adjust volume. Screen is flush with the case so it will scratch easy if you are using your phone as a shuffle board puck. People complaining of these things should be quickly reminded how inexpensive and awesome this thing is. It’s a perfect fit for my phone which was quite impressive

The build quality for this thing definitely isn't winning any awards, but that's not really why you're buying it... not at this price point at least. That fact that you get access to a huge amount of games on the back of your phone is awesome. It looks cool, it works about as well as you would expect a $20 game system to work (so pretty decent overall, but definitely has room for improvements), and prevents scratches on the back of your phone. This case probably won't provide much protection for your phone if you drop it, but again, that's not really why you're buying this thing. I dropped my rating down to a 3-star rating for three reasons: 1. The first unit I received was very clearly a returned/used unit. The tape on the box had already been removed, the factory screen protector for shipping on the device had already been torn off, there were scuff marks on it, and the device didn't work. That being said, I was able to send it back and get a replacement with absolutely no problems. 2. The fitment for both cases I received wasn't quite right. When I put the case on my phone (iPhone 8 Plus), the case caused the power button on my phone to be pressed down at all times. I was able to remedy this issue by cutting a slit on one side of the power button to relieve the pressure. 3. A lot of the games on the device are weird knockoff games that don't seem to have much thought put into them. The ones that are legitimate games from our childhoods, however, are just as fun as they used to be back in the day. The only issue with them is that you can't save your progress in any of the games, so you have to start from the very beginning every time you turn the device back on.

I bought this cover due to the fact of the novelty and that it played a bunch of games (168 as per the description). The case is pretty sturdy and the buttons for game playing were ok. What I didn't like was that it used what would be considered the "start" button as the volume control (only 4 settings- off, low, medium, and high), and the "select" button is used as the start buttun with no select button installed (with the library of games included select is not necessary), but it felt weird to me being so accustomed to the original button layout. The games themselves were ok- it contained games like Super C, Pac Man, Dig Dug, Circus Caper, Galaga, Macross, Bomberman, a Tetris Clone, Exitebike, Lunar Pool, just to name a few. However, a select number of them were extra copies of the same game, for example Super C had a bunch titled differently, or a bunch of random shovelware games. What really dissapointed me was that there was no Super Mario games or Adventure Island games, as these are typical when you get these Famiclone style games. In the end its a pretty nifty novelty to have and a neat talking piece as well as it comes with some enjoyable games to kill time and save on your cellphone battery. I still have yet to see how long the battery lasts if I give this a few hours of game play. I will definitely buy the other cover with 36 in 1 games because they claim it has the Super Mario and actual Tetris games. Overall I enjoy it despite some minor dissapointments.

The media could not be loaded.  Waited a week to write this review. Look at the quality and colors that come with this screen I am in shock at how nice it is after reading some reviews. The quality you just can’t get for 20 bucks anywhere else. My son is 15 and a major gamer and gaming collector and he can appreciate the quality of these games. Would recommend and if this one malfunctions I will buy another one! Easy to charge and fit his 6s plus like a glove. Didn’t use the screen protecter it came with as he already had others.

It works, it was a gift for someone and they like it

So I love the classic games on the device. It has Bomber-man and I could play that and Pac-Man all day long.There are a ton of games. Things I wish were better: the case is made of cheaper material and doesn’t really protect that much. It doesn’t have a bezel to protect from direct glass impact. There is a plastic flimsy cover over the LCD. Should be glass. It also blocks some of the corners of the LCD. LCD is kind of cheap looking but works. Really fix those two things and maybe add some Nintendo games this case would be easily worth $40-$80. Add a backup battery to charge the phone and it would be flying off shelves. Charging via phone or vice versa would be great. I don’t like micro USB. Make it so the buttons are below the case level when lying down. Also improvement of the quality of the speaker would be great. There are three levels of volume.So really just some basic design improvements would make this great. Better protection for the phone would improve my star rating too. Overall it works but I don’t know how long it will last after a month of use. Time will tell.

Video games wasn’t that good for the case. Often turn on in my pocket.

Giving 3 stars cause the power button comes off the case and it gives me hard time to switch it on at times

Although it says game boy cover it isn’t actually game boy games, just cheap versions

The case itself is sturdy. Really difficult to get onto the phone. I played the games the first night I got it. The next morning the screen no longer worked so while the music played when you turned it on, the screen was all white and the games couldn’t be played. You can still use it as a case because it looks cool and the buttons are feel nice to fidget with but don’t expect to be able to actually play it. Other negatives are that you can’t save your progress in any games, and there’s no “back” option so every time you want to exit and play a new game, you have to reset which takes you back to the Home Screen and also turns the sound of the game boy back on which can be annoying especially in public.

Esta muy buena la funda y es muy interesante la idea de jugar juegos clásicos con solo darle la vuelta al móvil, lo malo es la calidad de los botones y al ser una funda su función de proteger tu celular de golpes y derrames en donde lo tengas lo hace propenso a dañarse muy rápido, lo compre y me ha divertido durante buen tiempo pero los botones flaquean mucho al momento de presionar rápido o continuamente, además de que se enciende solo en el bolsillo y cuando lo quieres jugar ya está descargado

Tiene peligro de quebrarse la pantalla del juego. Meterlo a la bolsa se prenden muy fácilmente los botones y todo el tiempo se escucha la música.
