Q: Can it be used around base of storage barn to keep cats from using the area under the barn as a maternity ward?

I would think so. But you have to tack it down with landscape pins. We have used it all over our property to deter the deer and bunnies from devouring my impatients and hostas. This stuff is amazing. We have even wrapped it around hanging pots on our porch to keep birds from making nests. We see the deer in our yard with the Ring, but they cannot get to my flowers and plants.

Q: What is the exact mesh size on this 7' x 100' roll? I've seen answers ranging from 1/2" to 3/8" to 3/4". Could manufacturer please answer?

It is 1/2” I got it to keep birds off my tomatoes and still get plenty of sun and air to them, does the job.
