Done my research and these read the best and they are. Brilliant wifi all around house and garden.

Great features, but implimentation and quality poor
I spent a lot of time researching this. It had all I wanted and more - on paper. For me, the coverage and stability was awful though it seems some people find it good. I had devices connecting intermittently and then not connecting to the nearest unit etc. I'm talking direct line of sight < 20ft on 2.4G range. This was nowhere close to the circa 6000sq ft claimed. As expected the 5G range was less. The backhaul between the units was also flakey and I had no means of shifting the channel used away from 108. Then, the satellite unit crashed on the first night. During debug, it showed briefly as being directly wired to the main router when it wan't and so on. Their idea of a a factory reset wasn't what I would call it. Even after a firmware reflash it kept username/password and SSID details. I spent a fair fe days with tech support with me being asked to do some weird things I believed to be crazy like putting 'smart' devices in a different SSID etc. Not sane for signal strength faulting. Perhaps for throughput. Anyway, they then wanted me to send just one device back which I couldn't agree with. Kit returned to seller and hero points to Amazon who made this easy and fuss free. That said, I've no issue with the seller at all. I was just unlucky. My feeling is that the firmware is lacking. I'd be very happy to try again if/when they fix these issues. If you need to send one of these back and want to get your personal info off... be careful! Oh and finally, the setup process wasn't as per the manual and I had some fun with my browser not liking the certificates

I would not buy it again
I have had the orbi system for about 3 years. It generally works well but we have poor infrastructure and it was never going to give me decent speeds. There are drawbacks, you cannot specify a 2.4 ghz network I had to get rid of my Garmin smart scales and sonof smart plugs as they were not compatible, in theory the orbi sends out a mixed signal and the device says 2.4 or 5 please. I had to buy a 3rd hub as sat on a chair below the main router would not give a consistent wifi, the 3rd hub sits on the floor and cured this. Of course you need a modem to plug in to the orbi as they are routers not modem routers. I am looking at xiaomi for a replacement
