Feels good, well constructed. Smells like farts a little at first...that's how you know it's good. The tent was smelling like a party. The party smell was taking over the home. Now the party is clandestine as intended. This filter makes your party private.

This is terrible. Charcoal falling out everywhere. Literally just falls out like a salt and pepper shaker from all sides. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money for a good one. This garbage has been returned. Vivosun should be embarrassed

Stoped working (sucking air in) after about 4 days, and so far customer service at VIVOSUN is not being helpful at all atm, however they did provide me with the information that Relative Humidity in Carbon Filter's environment (tent or room) should NEVER BE ABOVE 40% RH at any given time... talk about some pretty useful information ... lol... Furthermore they recommend using a fan that is at or over OVER 400 CFM (6inch), i have the Vortex Line S-600 that develops 347 CFM and its litteraly like 99% of the airflow is reduce when connected to Carbon Filter ...Let's be positive and hopeful.. to be continued... re-edit : So cudos to VIVOSUN as they reimbursed the original item and sent me a 4" CF free of charge, they also took upon themselves to give me proper explanation as to the cause of the malfunction and took my advise as well.

Even if your household plants put off a great deal of terpenoid smells this thing will deal with it! Even at peak flower theres almost no scent, and I've got some stinky plants. I'm hoping it will stand the test of time. You do not need a crazy high powered fan to pull through this. I have a 6 inch 440 cfm but I have never taken it off low setting and it's got more negative pressure in the tent than you could imagine. Definitely would recommend this filter so far and will update if anything changes. Dont wash pre filter! Use a vacuum or air spray, washing with water will wreck the filter and allow contaminants through. Update: 4 months into use and the filter is working awesome. Absolutely no complaints

UPDATED below...Yeah it connects to an inline fan easy because it goes over the fan.... but imagine if someone wanted to attach tubing to the filter because the fan won’t fit inside with the filter... IT WAS REALLY HARD TO ATTACH 4” TUBING TO THE FILTER!!! HOLY CRAP! The hole to the filter is just slightly bigger than 4”... I used the infinity 4” tubing and thank god it handled the stretch. Filter seems to be working well so far. Now to see how many grows I can get throughUpdate: after around 2 months the smells are really coming through the filter, not impressed. The smells get danker near the end of flower and this filter can NOT handle heavy smells. I was hoping to at least get through 2 grows with this, but can hardly get through 1... I wouldn’t recommend this filter.
