Will these work with 1.5mm tubes?

Compared to Joann products, are they the same or better?

Very seldom buy Joann products, but I’ve been happy with this product. Used to make scissor charms and crimped my crimper materials with no problem.

Would these work to crimp 8mm end caps?

I haven't tried that, but I don't believe so. I think these pliers would be too small for that. These pliers are mainly intended for use with the smaller crimp tubes used to finish off a string of beads. I hope this helps.

Crimp tool for crimp beads

Used in bead threading to secure the thread near the clasp. There are 2 indentations, one for squashing and notching your crimp beads and the other for 'folding it over' on the crease. I am still experimenting with technique but this is very easy to use.

Terrible quality. Useless!!!

The two sides of the nose of the pliers are not aligned properly, which makes this crimp tool totally useless. See the photo to know what I mean.

Jaws misaligned

Quality control seems to be an issue; the jaws are misaligned, which will lead to failed M-shaped crimps.

great item, only grip wish amazon would do more pictures giving you an idea of the size of things as I am no good with dimensions so if you could do pictures with some items in the picture to give us an idea of the actual size of the item it would be good. as I am new to beading and found that this are the mini crimpers which didnt mean much to me as a beginner, now I know that my general creations needed a bigger crimper. by the pictures for this item I didnt realise there where different sizes of crimpers available. however this will come in handy for the smaller items I do. thank you
