Simple and easy to use

I have 550 batteries 2900mah, they last for 1hr 20m with the lights on full power constant.The 970's (supposedly 6600mah) that I paid extra for with the light setup, last for just short of 2hrs with the lights on full power constant. They don't hold what they state they hold, I've tried all four of them.The lights themselves however are really good. Just wouldn't bother paying extra for the 970's, I'd buy the bigger batteries elsewhere if they're needed.Would have been 5 stars but the batteries let the product down a lot for me.

Good build quality, very bright as needed.

My "Studio" is my bedroom next to the workshop. I use it to photograph models under construction. Using photofloods and brollies and extension leads to take perhaps two pictures is a pain as it takes over 5 minutes to set everything up and another 5 to put it away...Valuable building time.This lighting set can be set up very quickly and takes up less space. The light is really excellent, smooth, bright and perfect and using the batteries means less clutter.I note a comment about mounting the light to the tripod. This area is very crude to look at but it works very well for both horizontally and vertically mounting the light units.I can safely say that I am highly delighted with it and will be using it a lot.While I am using it in a fairly limited way it is obviously well suited to a far wider range of applications

This is a nice kit of two hand-held wands that come with power cables and batteries and chargers. Using the wands with batteries is convenient, but the ability to use mains power is an advantage, if only to back up depleted batteries. There are two lightweight light stands and a kit bag that completes this lighting kit. The lights are a good adjunct to portrait lighting and also for still life photography. The light is very controllable via two knobs at the back, one for colour temp and the other for light output. On a recent studio set-up for photographing close-ups, I could get good depth of field at moderately slow shutter speeds and good enough light for some hand-held shots. The wands can be used hand-held or set up vertically or horizontally on tripods - without accessories you cannot swivel them, which is their only down side. Overall - useful kit.

These are pretty smart video lights for the price, you get the lights, the stands two batteries and two chargers so everything needed really, light output wise I can get iso 100, f8 at 1/50th so these are really good for tutorial videos and stuff like that, they double as photography lights too, build quality is good, the stands are not the best but can more than hold these lights as they don't weigh much, all in all for less than 100 quid these are a bargain.

I received mine today and for the life of me I just cant figure out how the light bit fits into the tripod. When I do as instructed its not snug, the two pieces don't come together like a puzzle piece. It just awkward. The manual is not clear it tells you more about what you have in the box than what to expect when assembling. No guidance what so ever.
