MSRM US300 WiFi Range Extender 300Mbps Wireless WiFi Repeater for 360 Degree WiFi Covering

Wow! Simple straight forward directions. I do not consider myself a techie so I appreciated the easy to understand instructions and photos in the small user manual.Since I have an iPhone I opted to do the initial setup with that instead of using the Ethernet cable and computer (that would have been work). Just plug the range extender into outlet. Wait a few seconds and log into web browser as instructed (for me that was safari). In the browser address search bar I typed in the numbers with periods as instructed (192.168.10.1). When the extender setup page displayed I typed in "admin" as the password as instructed in manual and it was pretty straight forward from there.After setting up the extender I went in to my Netflix, Amazon, and other apps or devices to select the extender as my signal.

Instructions were easier than the application of those instructions. I needed two units to expand my main router in 180 degree angle from router source. I could make one work, but never two. I gave up! Also, when you want to move the unit, or just unplug for a minute, you need to re-install all over again! However, I will say that the tech service really worked with me, or would not have gotten either of them to work. But, in the end, I quit contacting tech service, because I just tired out from the endeavor. Plus, the tech service is in Asia, and required very good time management to keep continuity of the contact! Jusy now, a problem with Amazon, while trying to input product link. I received a statement that this is not an Amszone product, so no product link was allowed. Way too much trouble on both ends of this experience!!!

I would've gave 5 stars on this, but the directions were horrible and didn't work. After spending hours on this I found a YouTube video that showed the directions and they weren't the same as the directions that came with it. It took me no longer than 5 minutes to set it up after watching video So far it's doing what I bought if for to extend my wifi.

Alright, here's the thing. I ordered two of these to try and extend the range in the duplex house that I rent for college with 12 other people. I got the first one up and running easily enough, seems to work. The second one, was broken. I tried setting it up the same way as the first, numerous times and I'm no slouch with IT systems. The extender would struggle to connect, it took me several attempts at resetting it just to bring up the opening "login" page. When that page did come up it was finicky and inconsistent. The page would glitch out, send me 404s and I'd have to start the process over again. When I finally did get it connected and it told me I was set up, the extender never actually switched off of the default MSRM wifi to the one I set it to. Eventually after waiting about twenty minutes, the extender crashed and even the MSRM wifi disappeared.I contacted support and let them know, they got back to me in a couple of emails, I sent them screenshots and they had me do everything I had already done over again. After a couple of days of corresponding, trying things, sending new screenshots, they never emailed me back again and I haven't heard from them in two weeks.The first two screen shots below are the difficulties I had getting to the set up screen. The second two screen shots are showing that after I got there, even ten minutes later after it told me the reboot was successful, it hadn't switched from MSRM. Two minutes after the last screenshot was taken, the MSRM wifi crashed and disappeared off of my available screen. That time, you can also see that I had the ethernet connected to the extender and I was using a different computer (evidenced by the different OS). Nothing worked.If they sent me a new extender that worked to replace the broken one, I would give this four stars. As it is, their customer service didn't work with me.

The installation is easy once you realize it is really your mobile smart phone that you're relying upon initially to make the linkage to your existing network.It located this extender about 30 feet and on the other side of the wall from my base linksys router. It appears to have increased my signal by approximately 1 bar when I go beyond the extender, as compared with signal from the base router.It isn't a spectacular increase, but in my case worth the expense of the extender.

I followed the directions very closely, and the first unit I received would not connect to the network. I reset it several times all to no avail. Tech support from the seller appears to be available by email only. After several emails back and forth, and closely following the instructions in the emails, I was still unable to connect to the network. Then they said they would send me another unit and that they would make sure it worked properly prior to sending it to me. Again, after closely following their instructions-same thing-the replacement unit would not connect to the network. The instructions and pictures and options they give you don't match what comes up on the screen when logged into the unit to change/check settings. DON'T BUY THIS ITEM!!!!

Our house is not very big. I just can't seem to get a signal in my art studio in the far end of the house. This extender sets up very easily but totally failed to deliver a signal where I needed it. I experimented putting it in several different locations and the reception was sporadic at best. Fortunately, the return was a breeze. Thanks, Amazon.

Plug in the repeater near your router. Enter the IP and password it gives on the instructions in your browser onto your phone or PC. Enter in the password to your router, connect your wi fi to the repeater name you decided to pick. Bring repeater and plug it in to wherever you're having bad reception. Its that easy! Where i had 0-1 bars, i now have 5 solid bars. Wish i would of bought this thing along time ago, its a game changer. Same day delivery with an amazing product.
