Norgy in Littleland Hardcover – 1 Jan. 1955

A brilliant book you must not grow up before reading. Or if you have already grown up read it anyway. Fabulous in-depth fantasy but always feels safe. Sort of Blyton but plus literacy and vocabulary, where even the unreal people are real (in Blyton it was the inverse, but we love her anyway) A genius work. Pity all Hurt's other kids' books are not stocked by Libraries but given that they fetch 3 and 4 figures on the secondhand circuit it is unsurprising.
