Chasing Us: A Second Chance Love Triangle (Dark Love Series Book 2)

Wasn't a big fan of Alex/Lex in book 1 and still can't say I am.. but I like Charlie and all the supporting characters and their friendships and relationships. Love Rocky (but he is dirty and obsessed with porn/strippers) but think his love for Nikki and is real & hope its monogamous and believe she is the boss! Would like to read their story!Love Finn... why couldn't Charlie fall in love with him?Didn't like Charlie's 'shame at being with 2 men'... when these men have no shame at all about how many women they have been with... perpetuating double standards....Liked the fact the relationship was explored beyond the wedding... and there were ups and downs.. and the sad emotional storyline at the end made me cry.... want to read next book now!Some of the book didn't make much sense.. didn't really understand Lex's dad being involved with Charlie's struggles in the past and not telling Lex about it.Also having the bachelor/bachelorret parties immediately prior to the midnight wedding seemed like a stupid idea given how much these people drink! And spiking drinks with viagra might seem funny but spiking drinks with any drug can never be a good idea.. just not safe.

I didn’t enjoy this book as much as the first (Chasing Love) but it definitely answers a lot of questions from the first book and it was nice to read the ending. It does feel a bit unnecessarily long in my opinion. I think Chasing Love could have been a 10/10 standalone book with aspects of this second book. But nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed both books! Chasing Love will always be one of my fave reads though, Lex & Charlie in that book are addictive!

I loved the characters,all all different but are there when needed.I may not read anything by this author before ,until I had a suggestion forwarded to me. So I read book 1 ,I was not sure at first but by the 6th chapter ,I could not not put it down(no housework done ✔yay,a cat constantly crying to be fed,he's a fussy dog in cat fur, the mobile was on vibrate ,accidentally on purpose) until I had it read and this one downloaded.Some parts will have you rolling around the floor with laughter,the next you go through Tom's of tissues ,crying your tears,you will even want to get boxing gloves out,you may even want to knock some heads together and recommend an ophthalmologist,as some people can not see what is in front of them!!If no one has ever had a night out without a gay guy and pranksters, I can highly recommend it,just be prepared for the "techilla shots " hangover. When you tend to do things that surprise everyone ,including you,that you don't believe,until evidence is produced, decorating Facebook for all to see,making you want to hide.,even consider moving continents.I can not wait to read other books by this author.I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

Again solid 5 stars, you can’t help be sucked in by the story and loved the multiple POVs however I struggling with the book being 300 and something pages long but only within the last 90 pages does the marriage break down to the point of almost divorcing to being a happy couple again and sorry but Lex is a douche! Can’t wait to read Julian’s story next though!!!

The conclusion to Lex and Charlie's story was fantastic but very emotional. I look forward to reading more from this author in the very near future.

It was good a bit long winded and it could have done without the Elijah dying part really think the story could have been explored different way with those two, but obviously looking ahead the author has different ideas for Adriana and Julian.Long winded but ending is definitely what I expected but glad it happened the way it did.Worth the read

What an absolute rollercoaster of emotions this book is.Beautifully written, making me laugh, sob, fury!It’s been a long time since I’ve read a book that’s managed to hook my emotions in totally.It’s the second book in the series and not to be missed.Even tho there is a hea, I still have hatred for the H. I didn’t manage to forgive him unfortunately, hence why I can only give it 4 stars. No matter what he touched her bare clit and that is full on cheating in my book and I just couldn’t forgive it, Charlie is a bigger person than me. Needed a trigger warning for that.

Katie and Lex cant live without each other but sometimes their stubbornness causes problems. Katie needs to tell him about her time when her grandmother died and how she was literally heartbroken only getting through things with the help of his father who was a doctor. When there is a death within their group Lex goes into a darkness and leaves Katie when she needs him most. He goes on a drinking bout around the world and thinks about sleeping with someone else to expel Katie from his mind. Friends rally round though and stop him making such a mistake. There is a ball and when he hasnt turned up Katie decides she has had enough and considers divorce. Meeting Julian her ex at the ball she knows in her heart he is not the solution to her sadness as Lex reclaims his wife. Great read. Great twist half way through.
