wanted a way to turn on a space heater when the temperature dipped and this has been working great.

For what it's worth - this worked great. Until it melted.I thought maybe it was a problem with the plug I was using, but no, the heater still works fine in the outlet it was plugged into.There is a huge design flaw in this plug that makes it unsafe for use in any household. The wire leads that connect to the relay on the board that does the switching are secured to the plug housing with plastic thread forming screws. These kinds of screws are acceptable and commonly used for holding plastic parts together, but they should never be used to fasten electric components together. Creepage in the plastic, along with the heat generated from the electrical resistance inherent in a US plug design ensures that these screws will loosen over time, the connections will become lose, the resistance will go up, and the plug will overheat and melt.What's the moral of the story? Electrical connectors need to be bonded together with solder or with machine screws. Using a plastic boss and a thread forming plastic screw to fasten a 120V connection that routinely handles 15A of current is bordering on negligence.

I use these to control electric heaters on low for bedrooms in the basement. I love them. They work great, the battery's last forever, and they are quite accurate.

I'm writing this while airing my house out of the smell of burnt plastic and silicon. I had this sensor set up to control a space heater for the room where my cats tend to hand out in. Took a nap and was awakened to the aforementioned smell. The plug was red-hot and the casing of the sensor has a hole melted into the left side of it, as well as more melting along one of the plug prong holes. The space heater's power draw is well within the rating for the sensor. Good thing I was home when this happened! I purchased another one that I haven't set up yet and I will NOT be using it. Amazon was good enough to refund both of these. Buyer beware!

It smelled terrible one day and then I woke up to a cold room in the morning. Then it was melted. I was using a 1,400 space heater with it which it says it’s rated for. Good thing MY HOUSE DIDN’T CATCH ON FIRE!

Melted to my outlet 3 days after install so I returned and got a new one but it did the same thing I can run my electric fireplace directly to the outlet without any issues. I feel it should be band from being sold on or in any store

Got it working within minutes. Changing it to Fahrenheit is kind of annoying but wasn’t a deal breaker. However, it burning my socket and melting part of the unit itself is. Do not buy this product potentially dangerous.

カーボンヒータの制御用に購入しました。同等品のレビューにて、リモコン内に温度センサがあるタイプは、温度検知のレスポンスが悪いとありましたが、確かにAC側にセンサがあるものより、検知のレスポンスは良くない感じがします。でも、センサが露出していない分、本体はスッキリしています。就寝時には自動温度制御、日中はマニュアルでON/OFFしていますが、リモコンで制御できるのは、やっぱり便利です。特にマニュアルON/OFFできるところが気に入っています。

複数のタイマーセットが出来づらい！
