Excellent
First off this is very expensive (purchased at half price) for what it is and I know there are cheaper ones available (I now own 3 different brands) BUT this is by far the most responsive out of the ones I own and tried over the years.It has given a quick reading every time first time so far which surprises me, having COPD and Reynauds I've had trouble with other brands in the past even getting a reading. Hospitals usually have to use ear clip monitor lol.Setting up with omron connect android app was very easy. I already had the app for blood pressure monitor. It was simply a case of going to profile within the app and selecting add new device. There is a picture for each compatible piece of equipment they make, so just a case of tapping on the required one and following the clear onscreen instructions with pictures which took no more than 30 seconds.I would advise use with the app because it shows averages as well as daily which is useful.All in all despite price I'm more than happy with the product and would recommend it if a mid priced one doesn't always work for you.

Nice bit of kit
It's well built, and easy to use and read . It's not needed a battery replacement yetI'm not sure of it's accuracy but Omron are a well known brand, so you'd hope they'd be correct more or less

Absolutely accurate.
Bought this after having a severe chest infection, my old cheap Oximeter jumped all over the place, and it was way out compared to an out of hours GP’s Oximeter .So bought the Omron because my Doctors surgery uses Omron blood pressure monitors, it’s completely accurate,so you can trust it, guess you get what you pay for!

Great hardware abysmal app
I needed a good reliable device to keep and accurate track of my oxygen level. I have another good brand but it can be a bit erratic but its app is good. The hardware appears to give good reliable readings. The app, once I could get it installed and figure out how to get it to synch generally works great, It also record readings from my OMRON blood pressure monitor. I can also record weight manually so gives good picture.The readings from the oximeter although coming up fairly quickly are best lest to settle. Occasionally is just wont start up. Syncing with app can be erratic with it working great for a while then refusing to sync and having to enter readings manually.One advantage of app is it keeps a record showing trends. I have shown this to the doctors when visiting and they were quite impressed and found it useful to look at the trends. It will also export a file that can send history of readings to the doctors. Usually when in hospital or |surgery I mention doing our own readings and recording them, they are a bit sceptical.. When I mention its done on Omron kit then they are quite happy as t is a well known brand. My weekly visits from the chemo nurse uses a similar one.

Excellent.
I am very happy with this oximeter, I have trust in its readings unlike cheaper ones I've had. The only thing with this is I'm not sure it was brand new when I got it, Amazon have a habbit of doing that. Still, it is Omron and highly recommended.

Eye-watering price; unnecessary app
Whilst not fanatics my husband and I have become more attentive to our health as we've got older. I'm vegetarian, he's not, but eats very little meat. I go the gym four times a week, he walks a few miles every day. Neither of us smokes or drinks alcohol, so we do take care of ourselves and manage to avoid consulting medical professional unless absolutely necessary. To this end we were interested in testing this little gadget. We do have another one – a cheaper one from a different manufacturer, so it's been interesting to compare the two.First comment is the eye-watering price of this one. Okay, so its a well known make – OMRON – but does a brand name justify the price? It works in exactly the same way, the display is pretty much the same, but on the one you also have the time, and battery power displayed. These, really, are just fol-de-rols that could easily be dispensed with.It's powered y 2 x AA batteries which, in this day and age, surprised me. I would have thought either a button battery or rechargeable using a USB cable. It comes with a neat little case.The main difference is the facility for Bluetooth connection to a sartphone. Now some people may want this but we don't. I personally don;t keep a record – I glance at the screen – do I have a pulse? Yes. Is my blood sugar level where it should be? Yes. That's me done. My husband keeps a little notebook and likes to record his readings – he's old-fashioned that way.I honestly don;t think the actually meter is any better than our cheap £40+ one, and I don't see paying an extra £150 for an app and a case is worth it.

On the BP machine you just need to have the phone near and take a measurement. The sync happens automatically, and the reading transfers across.\nWith the P300, the first thing is to make sure that the P300 is added as a device in the latest version of the Omron App. Also make sure that the phone is close to the P300. \nGo to the Oxygen section of the App.\nClick on \"Add new reading\". (Do this BEFORE putting finger into the P300.)\nThe App will tell you to put your finger into the P300.\nOnce the P300 reading is stable, it will transfer across. This does sometimes take a bit of time, so you need to keep your finger in until the transfer is complete.\nI hope that this helps."}},{"@type":"Question","name":"Does this oximeter measure/record pulse rate velocity?","acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"It does measure pulse rate too."}}]}]}
