Great method book for beginning piano students.
My daughter is in 2nd grade and she has piano lessons at school. One day, she came home and asked me to purchase this method book so she could practice, not only at school but at home as well. Ever since I purchased it, she has been practicing every day. This is a great learning tool for beginners.

Good product!!! Recommend it!!
Took so long to ship, but the product is really good!!! Perhaps my favorite method book yet, quite a perfect book! I like near everything about it: fun character and speech bubbles, clean and well layed out and organized pages, the approach to playing: great book!!! Got it for a student of mine. Strongly recommend it to others.

Awful approach!
I hate this book! I'll never use this with my students. Piano Adventures or Hello Piano are much better methods.

Probably the worst
I have about 60 piano students and own most of the literature for piano. I had high hopes when I bought these first 3 books from Lang Lang when they where released in 2016, but sadly, they are real stinkers. I ended up not using one single song from 3 books for my students. Stay away!

Buen Libro
Aunque el libro es excelente, lo siento pero no he podido leerlo en el Kindle, las partituras se ven muy mal.

My beginner pupils love this book
My beginner pupils love this bookIt moves at a good pace and is full of really pianistic material. The first piece suggests repeating an octave higher - a great encouragement to explore more of the piano. For pieces that have duet lines we’ve used the ‘download and print’ accomps to get to know the pieces, and saved up the downloadable audio file accomps, which have additional layers and sound effects, as a treat. I found the best way to access these audio tracks quickly was via the QR code – I’d never used one before but it was easy to find a free QR code app to download onto a tablet. (First time, I practised opening files before pupils arrived, so there were no technical hitches!) A really interesting aspect of this book is the ‘Time for a break’ pages. Here you look at a picture of a painting while listening to an audio track of Lang Lang playing a well-known piece. We listen to a track twice, comparing notes after the first time, then listening out for each other’s ideas the second time. What an excellent stimulus! It gets pupils thinking about the stories or journeys in the pieces they are learning or listening to elsewhere. The overall presentation and ‘look’ of the book is very appealing - they’ve all liked the strong colourful illustrations, which complement the pieces. And there are little bits of theory and information dotted around, and a couple of theory fill-in pages. Just enough and not too much! Personally I would recommend starting this series at age 7-8, and it works well for older children too, especially for piano as a second instrument.
