A solid overview of a band who could easily fill several collections of underrated songs from their always inventive, always memorable body of work. A great introduction for anyone curious about Les Rita but not sure where to begin. If you like it, be sure to seek out the original albums. Each one is an adventure. You don't even need to be French to enjoy it...sure they do some English songs, but it's more that Catherine has a knack for transcending linguistic barriers by her force of will, her restless creativity, her powerful and expressive performances, her fearless sense of adventure and her brilliantly dark sense of humour. All qualities shared by her late husband and late musical partner, Fred. A highly recommended collection!
