Stant48798 OE Equivalent Thermostat - 180 Degrees Fahrenheit Opening Temperature

I fixed it and temperature was ok for 2 weeks only then it was stuck, engine was suddenly overheated.. Finally i refixed the original Mopar 203F which is safer genuine part.

180° thermostat keeps your hemi running cooler..the stock thermostat in my 2013 Ram with 5.7Hemi is a 203° and on a hot day while sitting in traffic I would often see 220° or higher until the back up electric fan would kick on OR I would turn on the AC which turns on the back up fan..with the 180° the truck runs right at 185° and when in traffic give it that much more time to hit that peak over 220° temps.. also with the 180° from oil temp to trans temps it runs much cooler across the board.AND NO it does not set a check engine light as some people say it will, I believe you will get a check engine light if the vehicle doesn't see at least 160°

Good thermostat, runs much cooler. For the people that don’t know this as I’ve seen some less than intelligent reviews, if you install this without changing the fan temps in the computer you will only see cooler temps on the highway without towing anything. The preprogrammed fan temps in the computer will still be the same no matter which thermostat you put in unless you change the fan temperatures with a tuner. Towing and idling you will see no difference from the standard stock thermostat. I adjusted my low speed fan to 186 and my high speed fan to 194, so nice to see those lower operating temperatures.

Once up to temp, I'm holding at 185 all day everyday in my 2014 Ram 1500 Sport 5.7L. Clutch fan was deleted, and I'm still on the stock e-fan too.

Put this in my hemi (with ported intake and throttle body) and it is a 180 not a 185 like some after market non 203 thermostats
