What a transformation!
I have a wooden entrance door with 3 windows at my house. I had purchased the vinyl that looked like stained glass a while ago and got tired of looking at that. I purchased this clear vinyl and then stained the door darker and it looks amazing!!! This was easy to cut with a (new blade) utility knife, is very heavy duty and sticks easily with a wet (not damp) paper towel. I just lined up the manufactured cut edge to the side of the window and only had to cut 2 sides. I had plenty to do my three 24" x 11". I now have privacy into my home. You can tell the lights are on, but no one can see inside the window. I flip up an edge of the vinyl to look outside, then put it back in place on the glass. It's a very affordable way to change the look of a door/ room. I highly recommend it.Three days later: Each panel fell to the ground while I was at work. So I wet the window again and they stuck easily the 2nd time since they were already cut to size.Three days later: Each panel fell to the ground again while I was at work. What am I doing wrong? All of these fantastic reviews and I can't get mine to stick to a window for more than 2 days! Is there a backing that needs removed? Should I use soap? I cleaned the window and soaked it with water. I have to drop my 5 star rating to a 1 star just because I can't make it do what it is intended to do. Any suggestions?Ok... I know I flip flop....but thanks for the reviews that noted that there WAS a protective backing. Once I pulled that off and placed on the window, it appears to stick very well. You should not hear from me in 3 days. I am back to the "I LOVE IT" stage....lol

Perfect and easy to install
So happy with this product!! My husband and I got another window film before this one that had sticky adhesive and that was a HUGE mistake. We applied it and because of the adhesive, it stuck to the door too fast and we weren't able to get all the bubbles out and it just looked horrible. We removed it and then there was a thick residue across our entire door that took me hours and days and way too much stress to get out. We then purchased this one after doing a little research and are so happy with it!! It doesn't have sticky adhesive, it just takes water and static cling. It was easy to cut and then apply. We got all the water bubbles out very quickly and easily. The whole thing took us maybe 10 minutes. It could easily be applied by one person. The pattern is exactly as advertised and it adds privacy to our front door. The pattern lets light through but when I was on one side and my husband on the other, I could barely see glimpses of him even when I looked pretty hard so the "transparency/opaqueness" is perfect. Would recommend this to anyone for a window or door.

Love it!
I was nervous to purchase this because usually stuff like this doesn't turn out how you intend it to be and ends up looking cheap or not lasting, but it's great. We got a larger roll than I expected. It comes looking like a roll of wrapping paper and the material is nice and thick; which surprised me. Our front door has diamond shaped windows that we previously had blinds over and I wanted something that would let the light in. My cutting job isn't the best, especially in the corners. Due to the thickness I found it difficult to get into the tight corners. But there is plenty of material to redo if I wanted to. I found that using a template was the easiest way so that I could get straight lines. It's been up for a few weeks and doesn't show any sign of falling off and is still in place how we left it. Word of caution, there is a thin film that you need to peel off to get to stick. I didn't originally see it and thought it didn't come with it, but its there! :-)You are able to see through it, but only shadows. And during the day when the light is on the outside, completely unable to see through it. it's only at night when the light is on the inside of the house. But again only shadows. We love the product and would use it again.

WOW! A+ on everything!
Bought 2 rolls to put on the bottom half of my bay windows to try and keep my 2 dogs from barking at everything outside. It is nice and heavy, it doesn't feel cheap or flimsy at all. There is NO glue, it's basically a big window cling!I did what another fellow reviewer did and cut film with an Xacto knife at the top so it kind of looks like ice or frost. That process was not nearly as hard as I thought it would be!Installation was easy and the roll comes with instructions. It's as easy as clean the window, cut the film to size, wet the window (we used a spray bottle), apply the cling, and work out the bubbles! We used old gift cards instead of a squeegy, it probably would have been easier with a big squeegy. But it was possible and pretty easy without one! The entire process start to finish took less than an hour.I'll update this review if anything changes! So far, I LOVE IT!! I want to put it on ALL the windows, but my wife said no :p**UPDATE** The 3rd pic is from about 3 feet away at night with the lights on inside. You can see the top of my wife's head where there is no vinyl. The vinyl obscures everything even at night!

Super Easy To Install. Great Results.
I put this on three east facing windows in southern CA. The sun here is intense and that room is the hottest in the house. Because these odd sized decorative windows are extremely difficult to find coverings for, (and I've tried almost everything), I decided to try this window film to help keep out some of the sun. I works well as intended and I found it easy to cut and install.I'm not so sure about keeping the heat down though. As you can see in the photos there is a LOT of light coming through. And glare too. I suppose it is less than without them, but still, I was hoping for more light blocking.FYI, it IS possible to piece together without too much of a noticeable line. The single pictures show the one window I had to use two pieces on (because I had cut it too short, ugg) and you have to really look to see the seam. I didn't even try to match the pattern. Just random placement. From two feet away you don't even notice it and I don't think it effects the overall look at all. I would buy this again.
