My daughter is half black and Puerto Rican and she has black girl hair, this worked great had to keep it on high settings though and the only challenge I had was it kept turning off not sure if it was my fingers slipping on the on/off button or it just shuts down after a certain amount of time (her hair is really thick)

It's okay. This was the first ever straightening brush I bought and it lasted about 2-3 months. I'm buying a better one. If you're just testing this to see if it will be something worth while to you, then this is for you. But it won't last you too long. The red, heat retardant, nubs on the brush "bristles" fall off one by one until you are scolded with every use. But for the cheap price it's good to experiment.

Nice brush. Very well packaged and good looking appliance. It works well on our hair which is long and not curly. Using it in place of a flat iron. Much faster. Even works on damp hair

Very bulky! Too heavy and difficult to hold it for over 5 minutes. Doesn't straighten my hair very well. Wanted to return it, but threw away the box already. :(

It straightens like a dream and I have thick, afro-textured (4C) hair. I used less than the suggested temp setting for my type of hair and it still worked as good as a flat iron. It's impossible to burn yourself because the red tips don't conduct heat. I gave it 4 stars because it doesn't quite get to the roots. I can straighten my hair up to a half inch away from my scalp so I'm pleased either way.

I received product and voiced my discontent with the very faint temperature indicater. Sara More notified me that they were fixing the issue and sent me a new brush at no charge. I love being able to go to bed with wet hair, and simply brush hair in morning with my Sara More brush. Great product and great customer service.

The on/off switch is hard to use. it does not clearly show if it's on? Not sure if it is the way this product works or if it was defective. I let my daughter use it and she said it turns off in a short time while using it.

I was disappointed in the condition of the item when I received it. The brush appeared to have been used and was damaged. I could not read the temperature setting. This was very disappointing as the item itself did a good job straightening my hair. Unfortunately it had to be sent back because I could not tell what temperature it was set to. I will be buying a different brand in the future.
