I bouht these for my solar project when I added an inverter. Using the holder and the 300a fuse between the battery and inverter. As long as it keeps doing its job, this is one of the best values out there...2 fuse holders, 2 fuses, cable lugs, and heat shrink. If you buy all that separate it will cost you more.I don't know what other people are talking about with fitment issues or saying it won't fit 1/0 wire. Out of curiosity, I have some 2/0 welding cable around and I tried it, and the cover fit fine over it. It wasn't even close to not fitting. The manufacturer is being conservative when it says it only goes to 1/0. I was going to use 1/0 wire but now that I know it will work with 2/0, I'm going to get more of that and use it for my inverter.

They're fuses.They work. I have 100's of them. Funny cause I've only popped 1 in 7 years. Those ceramic ones are like 10$ each!

Cables that can handle 400 amps will usually be substantial. The covers impinged on the cable lugs of 2/0 battery cables and would not snap into place. I needed to cut the two "igloo" ends off the covers. Obviously, one shouldn't have to do that. I used a band saw. A hacksaw would also work. Otherwise, the fuse has so far worked as intended.

2000-2500 watt RV inverter needed fuse. Lot of research this is type of fuse you need close to battery. 200amp worked for my application, basic fuse easy install don't over tighten fuse bolts just needs to be snug. Clear case snaps in not waterproof side cable ports don't seal around cables.

One tested and it blew close to stated amperage. They work.

The quality of the finish on these fuses was sub standard, sent them back.
