Q: Will this work to tighten bike handlebars?

The bike handlebars surface may be a bit smooth for tightening the rubber wrench. We do not suggest this use method.

Q: What is the minimum diameter of an item to turn?

As long as the small one will go around the item you can tighten and turn! I don't think there is a minimum just use the smaller one on the smaller things!

Q: Does the rubber have a strong terrible odor like some other similiar products do?

No not really. it is not stinky but they do not work very well either. I wanted to use them on removing my hydraulic filter on my tractor but they just slip. I think the rubber is too hard. wrong formula I suppose. So I used my old chain version of the same kind of tool. It was disappointing. The old metal straps with some liquid rubber painted on them works much better.
