For the price and quality the product is good, there is room for improvement though.First the outer shell has a weird soft butyet seemingly durable outer shell. The inner side has almost faux velvet feeling. It surely wont take a drop, it will likely hold together magnetically, but seems it would easily work in a general use situation.I personally like it and I believe it's clear alternative to Ultimate Guard, I do personally however like the feel of the 800 Arkhive, beyond that I like them both.There is room for improvements that could push it past the "feel" comparison though.First the buttons have a a cap over then, I don't believe they are glued but more merely have a smaller diameter or maybe crimped on that make them either impossible to pull or that are loose and come off during general use. I tested my replacement and one cap came off almost instantly after a slight tug and the second one was definitely loose but wouldn't come off unless you actually pulled.So I think a drop of adhesive during the manufacturing process would keep it solid.Now I think if they included the design to wrap under the bottom using the same button locking/magnet latch. You could use it also as a mat for sure in a pinch and also make it that more durable.- In all seriousness the cost and quality to its next competitor makes this a serious contender for easily carrying or storing your cards and other gear. Regardless of the one manufacturer issue or my own slight personal dislike on the feel of the container.

Firstly, I know I am not the target audience for this item, as I no longer play MtG and have not for years. I am well aware that CCG/TCG players are perfectly willing to overpay and indulge themselves in shiny accessories (I sure did) and can be blinded by the bling. Now, having said that...I truly do not understand why people continue to rave over Gamegenic products while overlooking the obvious flaws in design and construction of their larger items (not to mention the overpricing for the magnet tech). This is a classic case of what not to do. The interior lanes are large, to hold deck boxes (some, not all even their own), but the center divider is not integrally attached across the length. The center bows and warps, causing intermittent sizing. if it was a few centimeters wider , you could store loose cards horizontally but you can't. I would never use this to store cards vertically (unsleeved, single-,double-, or in top loaders) due to all the extra space causing shifting. The material grabs and holds unboxed cards, causing damage even in sleeves. Last note, after about a week, I have noticed that the lid has started to bow, leaving a gap on each end of the box, rendering the "protection" utterly useless.Now, its fine for storing deck boxes, which does seem to be its primary intent, but then so does the standard 2-lane cardboard card box that this is an upgrade of. It's far too bulky for transporting conveniently.Not worth the cost for what your getting, considering the flaws in sizing, material, and overall construction. You would actually get more utility from the previously mentioned cardboard box.I have one more "premium" Gamegenic item to receive and review (Game's Lair 600+ Convertible Deck Box) but not holding up much hope for it either. Despite the Professor's high rating, I'm not getting my hopes up.

This product WILL NOT HOLD CARDS SLEEVED IN POPULAR SLEEVES AT ALL WITHOUT BENDING THEM. Buyer beware! The whole inner section is to small to hold sleved cards, without the cards bending or the innersection bulging.

feels pretty sturdy but I wouldn't stack these more than 2 high as they start to wobble. I use them for card games. I currently have tanto coura with 2 expansions and another deck building game both fit quite well with space for a third and maybe fourth. I will say there is to much space on the sides, these cards are the same size as mtg. Due to the width I will not be buying another as I needed it to fit sleeved cards not deck boxes

This product, like 100 others in this market, does not work as advertised. It attempts to try to do too much. Seems like every storage box tries to be a one size fits all to accommodate deck boxes, double sleeved cards, and hard plastic sleeves. I JUST want a box for my commons. Seriously would have been better off buying a .50¢ cardboard card box. Too much loose space on either side if you stand them up, barely fits cards laying down horizontally. AVOID UNLESS YOU ARE USING IT FOR DECK BOXES

This is a really nice case for deck boxes to be stored and carried in. It is very secure, and the likelihood of it accidentally opening up and spilling out cards or deck boxes is very low. The material used is very comfortable and nice to feel. It is very large (obviously since it can hold a ton of deck boxes/cards), but even so it was definitely a little larger than I had personally expected. I'm not going to dock it any points for being big, but if you're looking for an easy to use traveling case then this isn't quite the product you are looking for. You can put it in a backpack or in the trunk of a car, but I would never carry it with me during a convention or something like that. But all in all, this is pretty much every you want from a case for decks or deck boxes.

I ordered black and was sent gray. I was sent a replacement, which was also gray. Not really amazons fault since the box from the mfg said black, but a little frustrating to spend so much time getting the wrong product.As far as the box goes the quality is great and the magnets work better than expected. I like the construction so much I would buy a second, if I could get it in the right color…

It's not a really portable box, due to its size (that many cards are pretty heavy), but that's not what this is for. This is for organization and storage, and for that it is perfect. The lid is nicely snug on the top, and the card channels aren't too narrow (it's easy to pick cards up out of them). The microfibery, suedy inside material is nice. A+ card storage.
