3M CP45B Generation II Projector Camcorder with HD Recording, 1x Optical Zoom and 2.4-Inch LCD Screen (White/Black)

I really like this item. I'm doing a research writing on whales and went to SeaWorld with this camera as a back up to my other camera. This camera really does film well, and the projection is nice and wide and immediate by the use of the touch control buttons. I've had no problems, at all. The pictures/video and sound are nice and clear, considering I'm filming whales. The color is fine, and the zoom is fine. It is a nice compliment to my Canon SX170, and I will continue to use this camera in my research.

Worked as expected. I use as an alignment tool for my security cameras. and as intended, camera, projector.Worth the money. Wish they have higher model with 8m camera.

4/22/2017 Not surprised Amazon lost my review. Anyway, it deserves 5-stars but it was listed as New but a demo was sent to me. Manufacturer discontinued, knew that already. Quite familiar with this model. 8Mpxl camera, VGA camcorder, all with zoom. Best part, has a built in pico projector to project your images/videos on a wall. Great way to liven up a party, vacation, lecture. business conference, alumni or family gathering. Rugged, intuitive design. Comes preloaded with samples images. Takes a microSD card. RECOMMEND: BUY! But alert the seller first that you want a new one.

I recently purchased this product and it is awesome. I originally purchased it to take to Jamaica, but I use it for everything. I recorded field day, birthdays, family gatherings...etc. It is wonderful!!!

If you're in the market for a video camera, still camera, and projector - I recommend you save your money and buy dedicated versions of each. Like most products that focus on doing a little bit of everything - this does an OK job on each, but overall I'm not impressed with the performance. It's just too big to carry around all the time. Instead of being svelte like a new digital camera, or a smartphone, it's rather thick and bricklike, much like my cell phone from 1999 (which was a nice bright yellow Nokia, remember them?)In order:Still camera - Well, it takes still photos. My iPhone 4 takes better photos, and is more intuitive and easier to use. Plus, I always have my iPhone with me. The lens on this unit just isn't good enough to warrant carrying it around as a still camera.Video camera - It does well here, but it's hindered by several things. It only has a 1x zoom, so I can't zoom in or out. The microphone can pick up sounds, but it's a bit muddled. The video has a very hard time with low light, background lights, and so on - causing lens flare, distortion, and overall rather low quality pickup. We tried using it on Christmas and put it away to stick with the still camera instead.Projector - This is not great. There's no keystone or other functions, so without holding it JUST right, it's a nice trapezoid on the wall. It's bright enough to see in a lit room, but doesn't look very clear. For the size and price, I'm not expecting a lot, but I don't see where this would be a useful feature most of the time.Overall - Overall, it's fine. The menus are not very thorough, and I often found myself pressing buttons trying to get it to do one thing and it was either slow or didn't respond. I didn't like that videos couldn't fill both the internal memory then slide over to external - it's one or the other. I used it for a while and gave it to my brother to test out. He loves to his up the bars, and has enjoyed taking and immediately playing videos for people at the bar with this unit. I guess that's one use, but overall, save your money and invest in better, independent, versions of each - or just forgo the projector function and use an iPhone, Android phone, or tablet.

guess I got a defective one . main issue is the projector function . I think it is best for photos . the brightness was better than expected & color was good . when I connectd a video source using the mini av plug it was very unstable ,had to push & wiggle the plug but the signal would not stay stable . also the touch/press button to turn on projector was defective .had to push it about 10 times using various pressure to get to come on . when playing a external video source it became almost too hot to touch . external video seemed to washed out & hard to get any sharp focus . on all of my negative issues I did adjust various setting such as keyboard sensitivity etc. the concept for this is great but needs a lot of work .would have preferred regular rca connector inputs . hopefullyi just got a dud .I am returning it asap . I am a little miffed that I have to pay the return shipping cost but I will not complain too much . amazon has been really good to me in the past .. I am a amazon prime member & would suggest amazon waive return shipping cost for prime members as a perk.. amazon could probl sell more memberships if they did

Excellent product and would recommend! It may not be the best quality camera but the instant results when using the projector more than make up for this!
