I've used the fishing rod quite a bit during my camping / hiking trips and this gets the job done. The fact that it has its own case with it makes it that much easier to pack.

This rod and reel combo is an awesome idea for any angler who might be traveling for work or leisure. The reel is a perfect size for most freshwater and inshore saltwater fishing. The rod comes in several sizes but I found this 1.8m just the right size, it's about 6'4" extended. I've fished a few ponds from the bank, the lake from a boat, and along the creek by my house. I was able to land a 4.5lb bass with no problem and the reel drag was pretty impressive. I recommend this combo for anyone who loves to fish and travel.

I decided to buy new fishing gear for my husband and I, since our current stuff was pretty old. I like things that are sort of bold, different, and stand out. So, when I saw the pictures of this rod/reel, I was immediately attracted to it - because IT LOOKS LIKE IT HAS PINK ON IT!! I looked at the photos on my laptop and phone, and it definitely looks like a pretty shade of pink on the metal parts. Woo Hoo!I ordered it, and it arrived the day before we leave for our 25th anniversary trip, which includes freshwater fishing. I opened it up, and it looks like everything is nicely wrapped individually. I pulled out the reel - AND IT'S COPPER! It's actually a dark shade of copper and I don't have any idea how their picture could be so far from actuality! I know it's just a pole and it shouldn't matter - but to me, IT DOES MATTER when I purchased this one to fit what I like. Now it's too close to the time we leave for me to order something else. Now I have a $80 rod/reel that I have to use for our trip and then won't be able to return.I read the item details, word for word, and there is no mention of color. So, I thought I was purchasing a nice set with pink accents, based on the pictures! I know the color doesn't affect the quality or use, but when you spend more for one because it's your favorite color, it is a real disappointment. Don't make the same mistake - it's actually a dark copper.** I will give a further review after I use it.

This combo is superb I got it on Monday and had it on the lake by Tuesday took pictures same day to show it off. Caught a good size small mouth bass on it and I have to say it has a good time with some wacky rigs or Texas rigged plastics or live worm baits got some good hits on it. Sensitivity is good you can feel when the fish tap at it just gotta have ur drag set right on the reel. Reel is good as well has some fair amount of weight to it not in a bad way to the point where it makes u feel confident it’s not going to break on you if you really hammer on it. During my trip the rod did not colapse on me and I mention this because this is what I was the most worried about and I did not have a problem reeling in the fish. Overall very happy with the purchase because now I can always keep this bad boy in the back of the truck next to the tackle set and I’ll be good to go fishing at a moments notice very compact, easy to store, convince is unmatched would definitely buy again if I had to.
