Many years ago I stumbled upon, then called, Thornton flossers at my local drug store, then they stopped carrying it and used their own cheap knock off brand. I searched the web and found Thornton Flossers! I have been ordering these flossers in BULK for years. I love them! The company name has changed but the flossers remain the same great quality. I have a bridge that is absolutely impossible to clean around - not even those fancy water picks - these flossers really do the trick.

We write the date on each package when we open it. That way we can keep track of the inventory and remember to reorder. Each package is marked as containing 50 flossers but the most recent one contained only 42.

I buy these for everyday. And I used up my last 12 packages already. One day at a time. Great product for everyday. No cavities, no canker sores. Everyday.

I am very disappointed in these. When they were under the product name Dr. Thornton, they held up much better. The threader part is much thinner and frequently bends when inserting. I cut off the end and try again, but it sometimes bends 3-4 times and then there is no threader left. Also, the fuzzy part of the floss is not as strong and has frayed or broken as I am removing it from between the teeth leaving part of it stuck between my teeth.

Without announcing the changes, proxy soft has reengineered periodontal floss so it is no longer useful for the express purpose, cleaning under and around bridges and implants. They have made the floss longer and thinner for no useful purpose. More importantly, the floss used to have rigid, plasticized floss tips at both ends. Now there is only one semi-rigid tip and it is thinner than it used to be, not capable of negotiating the tight spaces between and under bridges. Previously the floss was good for three or four days of use. Now it is frequently not usable at all. They have destroyed a good and unique product. I am greatly annoyed and I intend to ask for a full refund of my most recent order.

Cleans interdental spaces and bridges with minimal effort. Only small objection is that it's very hard to removethe first several stands from the packet as they tend to jam.
