Deadliest Catch: Alaskan Storm - Xbox 360

Ignore every other review out there that complains about this game . The game is amazingly accurate to the show . If your 10 with a serious case of A.D.H.D. then the game is not for you . If you want to test your metal on the Bering sea and find out if you got what it takes to last and tough through the trials and dangers of crab fishing , Then the game is for you , I have been at this game for over 5 years just got my 3rd copy because of buying it for friends . The game takes time to learn , you have to figure out the fleet count vs fishing time vs pot totals then chance boat break downs vs crew injuries on realistic difficulty and you find yourself living on a thin line of Great success or Total failure . I had my boat sink last night no survivors . it was awesome and sucked at the sametime . New career started Off again I go . Xbox live multiplayer we play almost everyday 4 day runs 100 hr trips 4-6 of us .

Some people will tell you it sucks, but i think its just a perfect deadliest catch sim, yes it can be a little slow at times , graphics are a little rough but it is a older game, so if your a true deadliest catch fan or love simulations get it!! It shipped very fast too!

Game was fun for a few days then it seemed to get old....dump pots and drag em in....there is no way to speed it up or anything. I also noticed that some of the crew members get "lazy". They won't come out when its time to work. They also aren't very smart. They go out and one dude runs across the entire deck to hook a pot when there is another guy literally inches from the hook. Then he goes back on the other side of the deck. This happens for every pot. I somewhat enjoyed it because I am such a big fan of the show.

I think it is a very good game based on the tv show!! I think that this would be a great game for anyone who is a fan of the tv show!!

This is a pretty good simulation of the show. Casual fishing fans or casual fans of the show should probably avoid this game, but for hardcore fans this is probably as close a simulation as you are going to get without going out on a boat yourself. In this game you are the captain, you choose your boat, name it, customize the paint scheme, hire your own crewmembers (each with their own areas of strength/weakness) purchase fuel, decide how many pots & how much bait to load, choose your fishing ground, set strings of pots, decide soak time, retrieve your pots and decide what harbor to head to so you can unload and sell your catch. You also have to manage repairs and upgrades on your vessel as well as the moral and fatigue of your crew. You do it all, and Captain Sig is there to help you along the way, giving you helpful tips via in-game videos. Again, this is a simulation, not an arcade game - so a lot of people will probably be put off by this, but me being a huge fan of the show and someone who loves being on the water and fishing, I love this game. I only wish more time could have been spent on the graphics - character animations could have been better, and details like the way the crabs come out of the baskets and how they "sink" into the sorting table are laughable, and a lot of the textures in the game are not very detailed and look like something you'd see on the original xbox, also some of the fonts used in-game are small and hard to read. With a little more polish this game would have been 5 stars easy, but I feel pretty fortunate to have it at all so I'm not going to do any more complaining than that.

This Deadliest catch game was actually signed by captain Sig and a couple others.. quite a surprise for a $7.50 Xbox 360 game..BONUS

game freezes in rough weather

Bought this game for my dad and he loves it. He said its much better than the first Deadliest Catch game "Sea of Chaos", as this game is much more realistic and actually makes you captain of the ship as you sit in the wheelhouse and control what happens on YOUR ship. It gives you way more options to customize your ship, you can choose a name yourself instead of choosing from the pre-set names, and the name you choose actually shows up on your ship. It is a much more realistic game, and truly enjoyable.

Does not work. Restarted my Xbox 360 nearly 50 times because the game would freeze at the load screen.Extremely bad.

good game for a simulation if you enjoy that sort of thing ,glichy game especially on the start screen sometimes you need to restart the game for it to work but other than that its ok
