CrossBailey Light Refillable Fountain Presented in a Everyday Gift Box - Medium Point, Black Ink, Polished Green

For some time, it was difficult to find the proprietary fountain pen cartridges for Cross fountain pens. Now they're available at close to the old prices. Plus: Cross is now selling a whole new line of quality yet inexpensive fountain pens. It's the Bailey Lights. I purchased three of them in different colors. I highly recommend this pen in both the medium and fine nibs. You won't go wrong with either nib. Or the pen! I'm a long time Cross fountain pen and ballpoint user and I'm so glad they're back in the market and competitive!

I collect fountain pens, specifically vintage flex fountain pens. I do have a good number of modern toss around fountain pens that I buy for when I'm out and about and I don't want to lend someone my Eversharp Gold Seal or Mabie Todd Swan etc. That is what I bought this pen for. However, I have to say this pen has surprised me! It's not a vintage flex, but it's also not a Jinhao, Wing Sung, PenBBS etc. The pen feels a lot more luxurious than I expected and the nib is incredibly smooth! It's not a soft nib, but it just glides across the page beautifully! It looks like a classic and I feel I would have no qualms about bringing it out in a business setting. The fit and finish are remarkable for the price range. In short, If you're looking for a pen that writes consistently and smoothly with no skipps or hard starts with very little feedback and no drag, and that looks like a professional fountain pen, this beats pretty much any other pen I've seen in this price range or even the under $100 price range! Obviously, It would be nicer in the metal barrel version, but honestly, this isn't bad. It has found its way into my small group of daily carrys.Pros:- Name many recognize- Nib is Smooth as Glass!- Nice fit and finish- Classic/professional look and design- PRICE!Cons:- I mean, the metal barrel would have been nicer, but ... really I can't think of one!

I was excited to try this pen, but I guess "buyer beware" holds true. The pen came with no converter, no cartridges and now I have to find a cartridge that fits. . . I have numerous and none of them will fit this pen. I see I have to get cross or a Waterman to fit this pen.Very disappointed.

Love the value for the money. Maybe a tad more weight on the end could help balance it.

This is an elegantly attractive fountain pen, but it leaks from the nib.

This pen leaks ink which is disappointing considering its brand.

Didn’t show up with ink! Wasn’t clear during purchase. Not impressed. Nobody answering phone and website says it is down. This feels like a scam.

Ink channel clogs far too easily. A better bet is an inexpensive Sheaffer. Consider a Lamy All Star or Safari. Cross has disappointed ne with this clunker.
