Reading the book in Russian...
Not being a native English or Russian speaker, I chose the Russian edition since it was delivered instantly. I also ordered the printed version in English and, finally, it arrived from the UK.I almost finished to book in Russian and enjoyed it very much.As Casper is killed by a speeding car, the book does not have a completely happy ending. I actually found another cat story included in the book even more sad - an elderly cat going out of his mind. The author describes her life briefly as well - turned out to be relatively happy one. A true cat lover she is, indeed.Highly recommended to anyone, not necessarily the Russian edition, of course.

I really enjoyed this book
I really enjoyed this book! Yes, I agree with some of the reviewers that Susan should have kept her cat indoors--but I have had a couple of cats who simply could not have been at all happy with that. Some cats seem to have a wild, just not domestic streak and must proceed with their lives with adventure and unfortunately danger.

Casper the Commuting Cat by Suisan Finden
A true story about a cat who catches a bus and travels around town most days. Casper always comes home each night to his home with Susan Finden who is an unconditional cat lover .Susan writes in a conversational way which is easy to read and there is no mistake that Casper is an extraordinary cat. His fame and personality have become world renown and this is his story. If you are a cat lover, I would recommend this book. If you are indifferent to cats, stop right here.

Healing Animals
At first, I thought this was going to be an awful book about a talking cat. However, it rose way above the ranks of soppy sentimentality. It was an interesting read about the life of a cat and her owner, full of homespun wisdom. Casper, it turned out, enriched the lives of many people. This book gave me permission to write "Ziggy, a Little Book of Healing", about my beloved dog who was the recipient of a miracle. I haven't found a publisher yet, but my story, Champion The Dream Horse , is a book that might fit the category of healing animals.

a great book
What a wonderful book. We also lost our Casper suddenly from a serious illnessand I have been so broken hearted. We have since adopted 2 Devon Rex Cats that are no longer needed for breeding . They are very shy . But this book has inspired me in so many ways. Thank you Sue. Yes I firmly believe that all our pets go to Heaven .

Heart warming and Heart Breaking.
Casper the commuting cat was a lovely book. I loved the way the author included a few chapters written by Casper. As a fellow cat lover I could imagine my cat, Nelson, thinking the same things as Casper. I can just imagine the joy that Casper bought to the other commuters, drivers and of course everyone who has got to know him through his "five minutes of fame." What a delight.

Wonderful, informative, accurate, unsentimental, and yet a "weepie"
Enthralling, but ometimes exptremely tough, but mostly just amazing, I would recomend this to anyone who loves cats. It informs, an accurate and engaging account of one cat and his family's adventures. Don't tell me cats aren't extrememly bright and intelligent - just read this!

A CAT TO BE REMEMBERED
What a lovely book!I read it while I was ill and I finished it in two days !This true story is simply and movingly told by the moggy's owner Susan, a true cat lover whom everyone can relate to.Not only does she tell Casper's story but her other cats are portrayed in a lively way ; it also has a very British feeling and pride all around and I am sure that such a lovely story could only take place in Britain, where people are kind and considerate to animals. There were also some lovely and funny pictures of Casper on the bus seat, with his owner, with his favourite bus driver, plus the other cats in the house! So my advice, if you are a cat lover is :PLAESE BUY THIS BOOK and spread this moving tale everywhere to be sure that Casper will always be remembered.

Beautiful
I got this book for Christmas, after begging someone, anyone, to buy it me! I was not disappointed...I have a little cat called Kitty, who I love to bits, and reading this book made me realise I'm not the only one who loves cats.Susan fills her's and Casper's story with love and humour, as I smiled at the cats antics, which reminded me of what my cat gets up to. But of course there is sadness, with which makes me love my cat even more.Truly this story is wonderful, I read the whole book on Christmas day and would recommend it to any cat lover :)

Casper cat story
I bought this as I love cats but it wasn't as good as I expected it to be, the story became a little boring after a while as it's not just about Casper, its also about other cats less extaordinary and the owner. Can't say i went along with the 'need' to have so many cats in one house however big. I didn't do what i usually do with my books i.e. pass to a friend, i gave it to a recycling charity shop where books are free so at least someone else gets a chance to read it if they want, for free.
