Perfect Cook - Digital Meat Thermometer and Kitchen Timer 2 in 1 with Probe for Grilling, Oven, Cooking

Got it today and hate it. At every power-up it defaults to the highest setting, 171 deg. F. Like if it was designed for some crematorium. No decent cook ever uses such high temperature! How many years ago such digital toys would count down fast it you hold the button down? This one counts down like preschooler. The settings were designed to make sure some idiot would sue them because he/she set the temp at 90 degrees or something like? I will return this overpriced piece of poorly designed junk.AND WHEN YOU START THE TEMP SENSOR SETTING, THE TIMER STOPS COUNTDOWN!!!! THAT IS REALLY BAD!!! AND DANGEROUS!

My first thermometer was not perfectly calibrated (I compared with lab calibrated thermometers). Contacted vendor and received voucher code for new item. Replacement was within 1 degree F of calibrated thermometer.Set up is easy, preprogrammed defaults for cooking of beef, pork, veal, fish and a customizable setting with audible alarm. Great for smoking a large cut of meat on my green egg because I don't need to open the cover. With extra probe (included) I can monitor the thin and thick end of a large cut.Easy to use and easy to read. Instructions are not great, but the product is intuitive enough.

Upon first use one of the probes failed and would not show a temperature. Second use with the extra probe it worked perfectly. However, as I continued to use the thermometer, it appeared that the remaining probe was beginning to degrade over time showing a much lower temperature than what the meat actually was as soon as the third use. I have since ordered a new unit from a different manufacturer and this one will end up in a landfill.

I tried to give this thermometer a chance but it's simply not accurate. The preset temps do not align to the USDA standards. When you actually use the thermometer to test out the meats, it's off by at least 15 degrees(less than what it should be). If you plan on using this, you'll need to add at least 15 degrees when you program the temp. See picThis thermometer, much like the others listed here are full of shill reviews. Don't get me wrong, there's utility for it if you're willing to overlook a rather glaring issue. However, proceed with caution

The Thermometer worked perfectly! I cooked a beef tenderloin for the first time and was terrified of overcooking a $75.00 piece of meat. Not only did the thermometer arrive on time, but I had a question about the thermometer, emailed the company and received a response very promptly! The meat was cooked to the perfect temperature.

Pretty nice product. Cords are pretty long, can stick in oven and hang the thermometer outside oven and watch tempature. Works great. Has magnets on the back to stick on something metal but they are pretty weak so I just lt mine hang or sit on handle.

Purchased this thermometer because I wanted instant temperature feedback, and while not instant, it is much faster than my old non-digital thermometer. This thermometer can also alert you when the correct temp. has been reached, but I could not use this feature using a rotisserie. Still, it is a great feature. I think this thermometer is an excellent value.

I really like this thermometer. My issue was that within days of buying my first the digital display failed and new batteries did not help. If I played with switch occasionally it would flash on but then go blank again. It was too inconvenient to send back so I rationalized that it is rather inexpensive and now I have extra probes. I hope this was just a fluke. Also be careful when you remove probe from meat because it is very hot.

All I can say is wow! Was quite skeptical especially as there are so many types out there.Used this over the Christmas and was really impressed whilst cooking gammon & turkey which were both cooked perfectly! Probably would have overcooked had it not been for this awesome product!Easy to clean and come with a pouch so can see this lasting for years!I love this product and if anything it has given me confidence to cook more recipes! It's so good that I ordered one for my partner who lives with her parents.

I was lucky enough to go out for Christmas lunch but was doing one for new year for the family so ordered that week between The delivery was spot on the packaging perfect, I found it so easy to use, I loved the timer, not sure the calibration is right but hey but turkey was fine the lamb was a dream and I am sure you will all be glad to know my family are still alive and well. Yes I would recommend this product, it gives you that little bit of confidence that you sometimes you need

Item arrived promptly as expected however design is poor and not user friendly. Temperature display defaults to farenheit which isn't very useful. It is possible to change the mode to centigrade but is quite tricky to do without carefully reading the manual each time. Also all settings revert to default every time the device is powered off. Not recommended

Fast delivery. Thermometer works very well and satisfies my requirements for meat thermometer - it's precise and information on display is easily readable. It is easy to set and use.Maybe the magnet could be a bit stronger to hold it on it's place. When cable changes position (e.g. after oven opening) instrument is shifting a bit.

Does the job perfectly. I rely on the alarmed temperature and it works brilliantly. My only grudge is that it resets every time you switch it off. Retaining settings such as preferred scale and last temperature would give it five stars.

Well made and I believe it to be accurate. Pleased it includes two probes as it is these which I have found failed in time.

All arrived on time and the product looks quality though I cannot use them as they are stocking presents.

Easy to set up and easy to use

This is a fantastic product and was delivered really quickly. It is designed to remain in the meat whilst it cooks, passing the wire through the closed oven door (this doesn't affect the seal), and can be set to sound an alarm when the meat has reached the required temperature.It is really easy to set, both in the timer mode and the thermometer mode. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a thermometer.

Perfect for my needs, the recommended temps in a few cases are perhaps slightly too high but the temp readings seemed to be accurate and the device itself is very easy to read, put it this way the Christmas dinner came out well. A tad annoying that it defaults to Fahrenheit but it's easy to change over. The spare probe is a nice addition as well. Overall very happy with my purchase.

Great quality timer/thermometer. I am really impressed with the ease of use (touch screen) both as a timer and preprogrammed thermometer. I am buying another for my Mum. Great value, you can hardly buy a mechanical timer for this price.

Easy to use, Christmas dinner for 15 was perfect, I used it for a large turkey & a beef joint - it was cooked perfectly. Didn't notice an audible alarm when it reached the required internal temperature but it was quite noisy here so not absolutely sure it has one, nevertheless I just kept an eye on the monitor.
