Granted there a lot of parts that need to be removed to get this spindle installed but when all done it is a perfect fit and good quality. I highly recommend this item.

I have an old Series 4 30” Snapper. The part number for my spindle changed over the years: 5-9813, 7059813, 7054531 BMYP, ( in Series 15 parts manual). Parts manuals for various models call the spindle 7058049YP, 700138YP, 7058049 (Series 23), It appeared to me that all of these part numbers described the same identical part. I was correct. This part is identical to my old Series 4 spindle. Installed it and it works fine. Note that beginning with somewhere around Series 23, perhaps earlier, the blade support bar at the bottom of the spindle shaft was shortened, eliminating the section on each end that was used for blade leveling support bolts. But otherwise, all models from at least Series 4 through 23 use the same spindle assembly. Shortened blade support bar is irrelevant, it still works on all the models. If you ever tried to use those outer adjustment bolts to try to level the blade, you know why they eliminated them; they really never worked as intended. Note that other manufacturers use this identical spindle (Murray, Cub cadet, etc).
