4-Pack Caster Classics Non-Marking Low Profile Swivel Caster

I tried at least 3 other types of casters for my office chair (after putting hardwood on the floor), some of which stated they were "for hardwood floors" -- none worked satisfactorily.These, however, work great: They swivel easily and roll smoothly and quietly. They aren't actually made for chairs, however, so I had to drill a lot of holes into my oak chair's legs (16 to be exact) and laboriously screw them down. (If your chair legs aren't large enough on the bottom, you will not be able to do this, so measure before buying them for a chair.)

We go through casters at the theatre pretty fast. We use casters from giant 20 foot boats that roll out on stage to something as simple as a bed. These are super quiet! The last thing you want to hear on a dark stage during a scene change is a set piece rolling out to break the mood of the production. So if smooth silence is what you are looking for when using casters, these are the ones for you!

I love things that come in 4 packs. That's what hooked me on these casters. The price and quality is pretty darn good, but they come in a 4 pack. I mean that's a perfect amount for casters. Have you ever put a table on 3 casters? Its annoying as hell. The damned thing rocks back and forth when you are cutting your $2 steak. I suppose you could have a triangle table or perhaps some sort of 3 legged thing, but I just don't see how that would work.

These are half the price of what I usually buy....so I didn't expect a miracle....but it did say "rubber" wheel. It's a plasticy rubber if it is in fact rubber. Very loud rolling around the concrete floor of the shop compared to many other carts I have built with nice soft rubber wheels. They do work...but they are loud and rough...I would only use them on a cart I didn't have to move very often!

Sturdy casters that we attached to the bottom of our shoe crates for under a bench in our entryway. Nice and heavy, push and turn smoothly, great for our wood floors. Much better than the small cheapest-I-could-find 4-pack of casters I'd originally purchased at Lowe's. No regrets upgrading to these! You get what you pay for in this case. Base was wider than I'd expected, about 3" x 2", but still work great. The added weight of these help the shoe bins glide more smoothly.

The casters are well made and work well and are being used on a dolly. I am giving only three stars because I received the model with brakes rather than the model I ordered without brakes which I would have preferred. In reading previous reviews another customer had the same experience so this was not a unique event.

These do the job for a couple of pieces of furniture I wanted to be able to move around easily. One was an old cedar chest filled with wool rugs I use as a coffee table. The other was a heavy oak 2x3x2 foot old drawer end table I wanted to be able to slide under a desktop. Remember to buy screws, they don't come with.

Good product. Good price. The wheel diameter is stated. Make sure it is what you want for size.
