Q: Is this product water proof? I want to use it to seal between a cellar hatchway and its cement base.

Big Stretch is water proof once it has cured completely, but it is water-based, so it is weather sensitive. Is this an outdoor or indoor application?

Q: will this adhere to existing caulk?

Q: Is this thin enough to consider self-leveling in a horizontal concrete joint?

Big Stretch is not thin enough to be considered self-leveling and is not recommended for horizontal applications. For this type of application, we would recommend our product Slab, which is specifically for horizontal surfaces. It is not self-leveling, but is textured like concrete and more durable underfoot.

Q: Is there any type of coverage recommendations for this? I'm looking to seal a 1/2" gap around the whole permitter of my house, which is roughly 120'.

I've used it to seal around outside window frames and outside wooden base boards where they attached to the outer "walls". The window frames are 1/4"and it straight forward.. The base boards are trickier. If it's 1/2" plus I put something (pieces of lattice) into the gap that will get stuck about 1/4" into the gap and then use the caulking. Occasionally 2 layers. Hope this makes sense. It does seem to work.
