iTikes Map

My 3 year old son received this as a birthday gift. He didn't show a lot of interest in it after first receiving it, but in the last few months he has been playing with it quite often. I do like that the maps are very educational, and that he can learn a lot of different things by playing with this. I personally would recommend it for a little bit older child may be 4 to 6 years old. I do believe we will get a few more years use out of this toy. We do not use it with a phone or iPod, he just uses the interactive map included. I deducted one star from the product because the top portion that holds the maps in place does fall off quite often. It is easy to reattach, but can be bothersome if it is misplaced.

We bought this with my 4 yr old in mind. He's a little rough on thinks and i figured this was a quality made product. Its ver flimsy and not durable at all. The clear plastic cover that hold the different mats in comes off and opens very easily. I think today alone i have put it back on at least 5 times. During play you really have to push on the mat to get it to work. There is only a thin piece of plastic behind that mat and i have a feeling it will be broken before long from regular use. Also the strap that you can attach for carrying doesn't stay on. Yet another thing for me to have to put back on a million times a day.The information on the sheets is great and my sons loves that part. I love the different things he can learn and there is a quiz option with 3 different levels.

I got this for my 7 year old daughter. She's pretty rough on toys so I really didn't expect it to work for much longer than a few weeks. We also don't have iPhones so we use it without those functions.My daughter absolutely loves this thing. She insists on taking it with her everywhere and wherever she does, every child in the building will congregate around her and watch her play with it. It amazes me to see these kids who have iPads and Kindles will literally sit them down and come over to try to play with this toy. The best part is they are having so much fun with it, they aren't even aware how much they are learning!

Great product for the price. Purchased for my two nephews 6 and 7 for Christmas. Provides a lot of facts about the use and general facts about different countries. Great for kids just learning geography.One problem, the top of the gam that holds the geography cards is not secure. So, every time one of my nephews uses it, all the cards fall out!

I think this item should have been more tought out well. The Iphone 5 holder did not fit my Iphone, as well as the clear closure that suppose to close to hold the other maps in place; it always pops open and the maps fall out!The information/education is good/ok. There is no back ground light to show the map more brighter and interesting, so its darker then in the picture.Over all my 4 years old girl, likes it but only keeps her busy for so long.

Without the iphone (and I don't know how exciting it will be then} it is pretty boring for a 5 year old. Her parents haven't had time to download the app and really don't seem to have much interest to do so. Also there is a long clear plastic casing on the top when you hold it vertical that is suppose to cover all the different maps that just will not stay on. As I said -glad I bought this on sale.

Love the toy it was delivered promptly unfortunately the top of the toy the hinge is broken when it came in no big deal though I think it's just a defect in the product

We got this for my nephew and it took 3 times until we got one that worked. In my opinion it's not worth the money. It's a nice product to help learn but not user friendly. I gave it a 3 star because when you can get it to work it's a good tool for them, but the quality is poor.

Bought defective once then replaced, got another defective piece, returned...

Wir haben verschiedene Apple Geräte zu Hause und mit keinem konnte eine funktionierende App Version geladen werden, schade, vermutlich wurde diese eingestellt.Die Karten an sich sind gerade für Kleinkinder sehr schön, farbenfroh und mit vielen verschiedenen Motiven. Manchmal muss allerdings sehr fest mit dem beiliegenden Stift gedrückt werden um eine "Antwort" zu erhalten. Spielspaß ist bei unserer Tochter (4 Jahre) meistens eher kurzweilig, allerdings wird das Gerät nicht in der Ecke verstaut und vergessen. Für den momentanen Preis von ca. 10 € auf jeden Fall eine gute Anschaffung.5 Sterne hätte es gegebenen, wenn die App, wie angepriesen, noch im Appstore erhältlich wäre und funktionieren würde.
