Did exactly what it said would
I used this on the base of an outside chrome? table which had gone rusty. I left it on overnight and it had virtually cleared the rust, the remaining spots I rubbed with a small amount on a cloth and the rest were gone. A quick rinse and polish and almost as good as new. Very happy with the results.

Does exactly what it says on the tin
I was a little sceptical about trying any sort of rust remover as I always remember as a kid just using those pink scourers on my bike wheels, so I thought what the heck and bought this.. it’s a bit thin so you will need a cloth under to catch the liquid that drips, but I brushed it on our towel radiator as it had lots of rust on it, and wow it removed the rust not all of it but it looks so much more newer.. you gotta try this.. quite a good price too.

Good general Rust Remover
I am currently using this rust remover on a large, bare metal cast iron mantelpiece, which is quite rusty.I'm finding the best results with Rustins when I dab it on a cloth and rub a small area intensively. If the chemical is allowed to settle on a rusty patch, it turns sticky and much harder to rub. However, I don't get good results with relatively rust free areas of metal. It doesn't lift ingrained rust spots as well, so wire wool/abrasives become necessary.Rustins is unpleasant on the skin and to smell. Chemical proof gloves are advisable, and as wire wool will puncture that sort of material, I suggest applying the rustins separately from rubbing wire wool or doing anything strenuous with your hands. In summary, Rustins saved me a lot of time and effort compared to using abrasives alone, but I needed abrasives to get a good finish.

Quickly Removes Rust
This is the second bottle I've purchased. Despite it's small size it's very powerful, a small amount can remove the toughest, ingrained, rust. It is virtually odourless unlike other rust removers, which can have a pungent sulpher smell. A word of warning, do not use in the vicinity of bleach. Product is so strong that if mixed with trace amounts of bleach it makes chlorine gas! But don't be put off if you follow the instructions correctly this is an excellent product.
