These seem to be the same as the original Bug Bite Thing, but they don’t work nearly as well. The problem is the spring they’ve added that prevents it from creating more suction. Returned it.

This product is awesome! I am so glad that I had it with me on a recent trip to Alaska. The mosquitoes there are humungous and unrelenting. I shared them with folks around where we're we're camping and decided to gift them out when I left. I immediately ordered two more so I can continue use and gift them to others.

So I will say that this product worked for me, which is pretty great. I get bug bites often in normal circumstances and live near a body of water, so that increases the frequency. That said, I ordered a set of 2 and was disappointed to find that only one of the products created suction...I went to do a return and only then realized that it does not offer returns (or refunds), which is utterly frustrating. Giving it 3/5 stars because .... it was HALF great and HALF totally useless. :/ I'm very frustrated with this situation because I ordered two with the plan of giving one to my mother (who also gets attacked by bugs while gardening). Obviously that plan doesn't work now that only one of the items works and she lives 3.5 hrs away so we can't share it.
