Refill Tape

Moore was the first, truly clear/transparent through to the core tape I came across years ago. It was originally in a easy to see, orange dispenser. I prefer that one to the blue one when it is with a number of other things on a desk. The price for the new dispenser is too high. And, refills can be found in some dollar stores for $1.00 for 1,500 inches/3,810 cm (in three dispensers of 500" each). To put one of those in any dispenser, take pliers and snap off a piece of plastic holding the roll on the cheap dispenser and put the roll in the Moore dispenser. The Moore dispenser has a better cutting blade. Rolls of 1,296"/3,291 cm are also available at office supply stores & Amazon. Just because a company calls their product "Crystal Clear" doesn't mean that it really is. Some are cloudy and are really the old-fashioned type that has a bubble-like adhesive. The truly clear through to the core tape is very useful. We use other widths such as 2"/5.08 cm and 3"/7.62 cm in our business and for personal things too. Those wider widths also require trying different brands to find the one best suited for your needs. For instance, some have better adhesives, some have a slippery surface and, some apply easier than others; which is especially nice when you do not want bubbles showing. One other thing, that "Invisible" tape (dull finish & found with green labels) that is easy to tear---we stopped using it 20+ years ago because when it is applied to anything, such as a window, it is almost impossible to get it all off.
