Love the spoon!

Ok as full disclosure I did buy this bar spoon because I got a discounted price on it in return for my opinion.That being said..I am a craft bartender who has been serving drinks to the public for 10 years, whom is not one to blow smoke up anyone's skirt and whom also hates finding things on Amazon that have 200 reviews only to realise that they are all from people who got hooked up with a *Discounted Price*. Here is what I think of this spoon.IF you're an at home bartenderWho wants to add a bit of snap to your bar skill's: The (I'm gonna call it) coin end adds a lot of visual flair to the act of stirring and does a nice job of adding that little " Here's something to watch while you wait" or "I know what I'm doing " touch to making a cocktail for people you want to impress; and for a good price! (my spoon of choice is another $15 from CK).IF you're a pro bartender:The coin end is a little to short and the balance is a bit off and while I'm the spoon being a heavier gauge does make it stronger, in a setting where you have to make stirred drinks all night the added weight makes is considerably more bulky in the hand and less graceful to use. Also, it's definitely too short to use in a shaker tin and eventually the "coin" rubs on your hand the wrong way when mixing in anything taller than a pint glass including including a crystal mixing glass.To sum up..As a professional bartender who bar spoons daily and has a $200 bar spoon collection, I thought this spoon fell a little flat for my wants.If you're a pro looking for your new favorite bar spoon; I would keep looking, it is to slightly to heavy, bulky, short and off balance for all night use...But... This is a great, stylish and unique bar spoon to add a little pop to your home bar.Also, as a note to the manufacturer:As a die hard Traditional Old Fashioned drinker who is still looking for his all-purpose spoon of choice,If you add an inch of length to the handle and changed the coin to a muddler end to crush up sugar cubes; especially with the heavy gauge of the steel a muddler end would work a lot better and be more functional than the coin. If you do this I would definately buy one and you might even have a shot at beating my swissmar spoon for an all purpose Old Fashioned spoon.Someone please make me a bar spoon for old fashioneds that is longer and more stylish than a swissmar muddler spoon!!Thanks for reading, I hope I helped!!
