Works... sort of
The first one I got was a GDR-8084N instead of GDR-8082N and did not work for wii discs.Fortunately the seller sent me a replacement that is the correct model number and paid return shipping. The replacement drive is the correct model and works for Rawdump, but is quite slow and the software is very buggy. If you're trying to make wii backups, your best bet is probably a wiikey or the homebrew channel to dump games with the console itself.

It definitely works with Gamecube games
Although it seems a bit finicky when it come to ripping Wii games. I haven't gotten it to work with Super Smash Bros Brawl, but then again, it's scratched up pretty bad and tended to get a disc reading error on my Wii quite often. I'm currently ripping Rouge Squadron III for Gamecube so I can vouch for it.

Can't complain, does what it is supposed to do when connected to my Lenovo Carbon X!. I had another brand previously that stopped working. Hopefully this one will last longer.

I got this item for my youngest son, but unfortunately, this item does not load on the Windows 10 computer that he has.

Works very well on Wii Games
Great compact DVD reader. Was able to rip my Wii games off to back them up in case the original gets scratched.

It does work with Wii and Gamecube!
Gamecube rip takes a half hour, and a wii rip takes 3 hours. There are only 4 left in stock, don't hesitate just get it!
