Just works.
I have acquired three devices with water, temp, continuity, and power. I have one in a cabin up in the mountains monitoring a HVAC room that has to pump condensation. I have one in a company computer lab where our cooling is sometimes problematic. I have one in my garage monitoring the power and temperature for an upright freezer. I love these devices. I have many other plans for more devices. I have not rated the MySpool Tech Support because I have not needed to use them. I am in the process of replacing all my temperature sensors in my work labs because these devices are much more flexible and reliable.

Excellent alert protection
The setup instructions which came with the P2 were a bit vague, but there was good setup instructions on MySpool's web site. Once you have it configured to connect to your own LAN's wireless router, the rest of the setup (notification phone numbers, temp alert settings, etc) were quick and easy. The MySpool just works, and works well. I have it protecting a freezer in my garage, with the remote temp and humidity sensor routed inside the freezer. It was a pleasant bonus surprise to see just how detailed and accurate these sensors are. Using their web site, I get a full history of graph and it's accurate enough to show how my freezer cycles the temp and humidity for the frost free modes. I unplug the freezer and the notification alerts come through every time, after a few seconds of no power. Apparently to prevent notifications during brief outages or brownouts. Overall, the MySpool P2 is a great device well worth the cost for what it provides. Especially in piece of mind.

Basement flooded no alert.
I had the unit a week maybe two. Tested it, I didn't always get alerts even though the red light would come on and indicate something was wrong. The FAQ said they wouldn't send more than one in 5 minutes so I let that slide. It poured here last night it was the kind of rain that would typically flood my basement I went to sleep assured and I'd be awoken by my alarm and vacuum up the water as it came in. There is an inch of water in the basement the sensor is bathing in it. The units red light is on it is an unreliable dismal failure.

Works as advertised. Not an intuitive interface.
We purchased this product to monitor the power and temperature conditions inside our travel trailer while we're away. This is especially important to us as we usually travel with our three dogs and they don't always accompany us when we leave the trailer. The first product we received was DOA and had to be returned. The second one worked as advertised and provides real piece of mind knowing that the temperature and power are acceptable for our dogs. My biggest complaints with this product (and perhaps most IOT devices) is as follows:a. No installation or setup instructions were included in the box. I found them on the MySpool website but it was not an intuitive experience.b. You need to explore all the options for the device and then decide how you want it to behave. Again, not intuitive as you'll need to look at "Setup", "My Devices" and "FAQ" to find out all the options.Pros:a. Works as advertised once you figure things out.b. Fairly simple, cloud-based interface.

Great remote monitoring sensor
This is a great product that I'm using to remotely monitor power and temperature in a cottage. My WiFi is on a small UPS that keeps it alive so the sensor can successfully send a text / email in the even of a power outage. The temperature sensor is critical in the winter in order to alert if there's a problem with the heating system.Setup was easy and straight forward. The confirmation email took a long to time to receive, but a simple work-around was to perform a password reset after registering to get up and running quickly.Highly recommend this product.

Reliable, easy to set up, no monthly fees.
I've set this device up to monitor the temperature and power in our home after returning about a month ago to find that our furnace had failed and the indoor temperature was 35 F. It was put to the test last week when I received an email alert that the temp in our home had fallen below the cutoff I had set. I was able to get the furnace serviced and avoid the risk of pipes freezing (outdoor temp in 20's). As far as receiving an alert for a power outage, I have a battery backup that will allow my Wifi to work for about 1 hour without power. I was impressed with tech support. I had an issue that was resolved quickly after leaving a message and having my call returned within minutes on a weekend. Thank you!

So far so good - I love it!
I am happy and impressed!Use case:I bought this device after my garage chest freezer breaker tripped and we had to dispose all food - TWICE!Told my wife, it's expensive investment, however, don't compare it with the price of chest freezer but instead with value of the food. And price of wasted food was not small especially since we had some homemade recipes (she loves to cook :-) ).Device model:Instead of (cheaper) plain power failure sensor I decided to go with P3 version to cover temperature as well. Kind of double insurance.I've disabled flood detector as I don't need it.Installation:Setup was super easy. Not sure why some reviewers complained about complexity, I set it up all in less than 5 minutes by just following provided instructions. In the beginning I got weird amplitudes with temperature readings after I was playing with range settings. After powering it off and back on (forcing re-sync with the cloud), everything stabilized.Alarm notifications:In case of power failure or if freezer temperature climbs above -10C, I configured device so my wife receives text message and both of us email notification.Tested and works like a charm.Of course, as stated in product description, you have to have your router on UPS since all communication is going through the Internet (AWS cloud). This device doesn't have SIM card - which is exactly what I was looking for.Data access:You can access sensor status on official web site and see sensor readings - there is nice temperature graph. If you really want to push this to the next level, then you can create account on ThingsSpeak and integrate it with MySpool. In case if you do that then you can have mobile app (ThingView - see picture) and what really impressed me, you can use few available REST API's - just in case you want to do some dev stuff.By using GET calls you can fetch sensor readings - see Postman screenshot. This totally delighted me. I don't have use case to develop anything for my purpose, but I absolutely loved this nice touch.Mounting:I thought to create my own mounting brackets but realized that there is likely markings on housing to make a holes. That was correct assumption, you need to remove a lid and drill holes on marked spaces inside the lid. (there is plenty of space inside so no worries that screws will touch electronics.I'm thinking to replace wall power outlet with one that has USB so cable can be directly plugged in without need of USB charger. One last thought: I really appreciate strong LED light so even by doing visual inspection you can see if power is on or if there is a problem.Great job MySpool team! Thanks for great product!I hope it will last and not let me down :-)

Unit wouldn't register. Only good for US locations.
Unit would not configure as per the instructions. Wasted a couple of hours trying too get it going before contacting tech support. They managed to get the unit registered with no explanation as to why it wouldn't behave as it was supposed to.Once operating all the graphs etc are based on US times only. No option to configure anything other than US timezones so all the times are incorrect.Power fail notifications were also unreliable - sometimes they wouldn't come through at all.Don't waste your time. If you need power fail notifications put an old mobile phone to use with a suitable app and at least it's quick to get going and it's reliable.

Reliable Products, Easy Setup
This water, temperature and power detector is the third sensor I've ordered from MySpool and they ALL WORK FLAWLESSLY. The a/c power detector has been running for 2 years for my freezer, the temp/humidity sensor has been installed for about 6 months in the basement and now this detector for the drip tray under my air conditioner which is in the attic. It alerted and emailed me within seconds during my test.Highly recommend this company's products!
