I bought this wax to carve and melt for use in lost wax jewelry casting. It is soft and pliable. It is very easy to carve, but a little too soft for the jeweler's saw. It melts and pours beautifully, with very few or no bubbles. For those who need something to compare it to, it feels like a sticky candle. Not too great for carving with power tools as it softens very easily, but excellent for hand tools. Scraps come off in smooth ribbons. I am happy with this product and got exactly what I was looking for.

I bought 3lb of brown microcrystalline, and I'm pretty sure what I received was white wax, dyed brown. This makes it stiffer to work with and it melts strangely.Would not buy again

Good brown wax but this product is overpriced, all or most being sold on Amazn for absurdly high prices -from all sellers. 3lb for $60? That's absurd. Sellers, please update pricing and offer better value. Buyers, buy direct.
