1 & 2 Peter, Jude: Called for a Purpose (Fisherman Bible Studyguide Series)

This is an awesome study! The philosophy of the writers is that they don't interpret anything--they give you the questions to interpret what you read and other questions to apply it to your life today. There is not a lot of fluff to this book, and I mean that in a good way. As a small group leader, for once I'm actually satisfied with quality of the questions--I've very rarely had to add or subtract questions because it is that good, and the discussion that stems from this is beyond wonderful. Personally I prefer to discuss the scriptures in more depth in some places because I think there are things worth discussing the possible (reasonable) interpretations though it is not the philosophy of the book. Let's face it there are some very difficult passages in these books of the Bible and I don't feel right leaving everyone hanging.

I co-lead a ladies Bible study with another woman at our church. This was a delightful study guide to use. The questions are relevant and helpful. I didn't necessarily use all the questions - but used many that were helpful and then used it as a spring board to design the study to my specific group. I like the Fisherman Series very much and this one did not disappoint.
