Works great with esphome and home assistant
Really neat little device that can be flashed to run esphome software. I use it to gather current/voltage readings for a power supply and temp. Can plot data on the display. Slippery slope from here into the world of iot.

Nice little package
I had purchased these for some home monitoring to try to balance the HVAC system. With regards to the M5StickC Plus itself, I have no complaints regarding the hardware aside from the color of the plastic. It's a cute little package with battery, charging circuitry, and a display for the ESP32 platform. However, with regards to the components designed to interface with this and specifically with regards to the temperature/ humidity/ barometric pressure sensor it's neither accurate nor precise. Not a big deal, this unit can speak either SPI or I2C (but maybe not the binary language of moisture vaporators with only the standard size EEPROM, or at the very least not without proper external components such as level shifters), so there would usually be plenty of other options if there was not still a worldwide chip shortage.

As always M5 has good quality, and all the perfect ports
In the world of hobby electronics, it's hard to find something you can tinker with fast, but not burn up by being stupid. With the display, imu, mic, buzzer, and grove port, you have a lot of options out of the gate. The battery is not going to last very long, so it's better for being plugged in. It has a pretty elaborate power controller, but that part is some assembly required. You can get the battery to last longer that way. I just use one of their external battery packs. Either way, it's fun for home assistant and/or one of the hundreds of grove sensors out of the box. I have a bunch for weekend science projects.

Size and number of built in functions
Really impressed by this overall. I was able to program it using the M5’s UI Flow with ease for simple things. Overall impressive package with lots of potential do build many cool things with this small micro controller with screen and a couple GPIO pins in a nice package.

It just doesn't get any better than this!
What an incredible toy for only ~$20! I have burned both ESP Marauder and M5-NEMO to these sticks. This tiny battery powered device could launch an attack (sorry, I mean perform a pen-test with full prior authorization) anywhere, anytime. Just amazing!

Came completely dead : (
The media could not be loaded. I was really looking forward to getting this as I’ve heard very good things about it. Sadly it came broken and wouldn’t even turn on upon arrival. I left it charging for a couple hours and it NEVER turned on. So so so sad : (
