Buy the series! My 6yr old loves it so much I bought the lot
One to read to your 6year old. This book made my daughter look forward to bedtime for us to read a few chapters, each book has 10 chapters all about Mira at Unicorn school with her naughty Unicorn Dave who is far from the picture of what a unicorn would be, funny school humour, Dave ‘farts’ a fair bit for giggles in the book so be aware. The themes are about friendships and quests and doing the right thing. It’s not a reading age for little kids

Good read for my daughter
My daughter is 6 and is still learning to read. The size of the writing is great for learners and the story is great for young readers

6 year old enjoyed it
I read this with my 6 year old daughter, who happens to be obsessed with unicorns. The story follows Mira as she spends her first day at unicorn school. Her sister already attends unicorn school, so Mira is very excited and has images of a beautiful sparkly unicorn. Unfortunately when she is handed her magic scroll with the name of her unicorn, it seems she has been paired with a rather grumpy unicorn named Dave!My daughter enjoyed the book. It reminded me a lot of the Worst Witch, which is another series she enjoys. Dave poos on the teachers feet at one point which she found hilarious and she loved the idea of 'glitter-picking' too. Mira and her friends are likeable and actually have differing personalities unlike some of the other books my daughter favours where the characters are so alike you can't tell them apart (I'm thinking of the Rainbow Magic series here). These are good chapter books for young children and we can't wait to read the next in the series.

A great gift
A bought this and others in the series as a gift for my great-niece. I starred reading the first one myself and could easily have read the whole book but didn't want it to look second hand before I gave it as a birthday present. Hoping to be able to borrow it later.
