ALWAYS Manually Search for ACCIDENT PROTECTION SQUARE TRADE THIS is what you want, not the default offered w/ purchase
Square Trade Plans are incredible BUT YOU HAVE TO MANUALLY SEARCH FOR THE SAME TYPE PLAN AND ADD THE WORDS "ACCIDENT PROTECTION" TO YOUR SEARCH!! The regular plan (what many ppl think is extended accident protection) is NOT accident protection. It ONLY extends the manufacturer warranty as written once that expires. It does NOT cover drops/spills, etc, UNBLESS IOT SAYS ACCIDENT PROTECTION, and never covers loloss or theft... When you purchase the right plan, and the accident protection IS the plan you want, I have never had a single issue throughout the years with Square Trade. I have made the mistake before of not getting the plan that specified it was accident protection, and learned that it MUST say accident Protection to get the protection for breaks, drops, spills, etc. It is only a few pennies on each dollar more to get the accident protection plan instead of the regular plan, and it is so, so, so worth it! It has saved my thousands over the years. You would think Amazon would want higher sales, and would set the accident plan being more, to the default warranty that comes up on items, but they do not. You have to search for Square Trade Accident + the type of plan, then scroll through the dollar amount till you find the exact plan that was offered, but that now has the words accident protection.
