Tescoma Mechanical Sieve Delicia

This looks nice and appears well made, but it's quite badly designed.The mesh is at the bottom and is quite large so as soon as you spoon anything inside it runs straight through as there's nothing to stop it. With the result you either have flour or sugar everywhere, or you have to hold it over your bowl with one hand and spoon the flour in with the other.After the fine powder has dropped straight through all that's left is any lumps. Unfortunately the two arms that turn when you squeeze the handle didn't actually break any of them up, it just moved them around the bottom of the cup.End result being, it is of no use for dusting baked goods with flour or sugar because it drops straight through and it's no good to sieve because it doesn't break up the lumps.You'd be much better off with a sieve and a spoon to break up the lumps or a a flour/sugar shaker, where the mesh is much finer and at the top so you have total control.
