HAYEAR Optical Fiber Cutter Cleaver Series 16 Cut Point Precision Cut Cutting Tool Hs-30

Updated - 5/18Cleaver was put away for a few months and recently used a few times with little to no success. Rotated the blade, adjusted the height and I might as well just bite the fiber myself to get a better cleave.For a while though it was definitely worth its money.So far so good - have used it on about 250 fiber strands with no problems whatsoever. Used it with a Fujikara fusion splicer in tandem with their higher end equivalent. Sure it might not be as robust but its quite a deal when comparing price versus performance. Would recommend anyone who is splicing to pick one up as a spare cleaver even. Anyone who does unicams should replace this with the lousy corning ones . . .

It works ok, but u get what u pay for, spend the extra for the ct30 youll be way happier, just not quite the same high standards

First review I ever gave with one star. Basically does not work cuts are not straight. Too busy to send it back so I threw my money away lol.

After a couple hundred cuts this unit is best used as a paper weight.
