Disappointing ink flow, rough tips, and feel far more like cheap ballpoint than gel pen.
Five stars for the pens that work, zero stars for the many that don't work. These are cheaply made pens that feel cheap in the hand. A few of them have beautiful and smooth ink flow. For most of the pens in this set, the ink flow is marginal and an annoying struggle to use. A few of them just tear through the paper and feel like trying to write with a dull exacto knife. I want my pens - especially a so-called gel pen - to flow smoothly with a good line of ink being left behind, gliding over the paper like an ice-skater - and for the most part, these just don't do that, preferring instead to spit and sputter and leave uneven flow and to drag over the paper like pulling an anvil behind your car. They also feel far more like ballpoint pens than they do gels, except I've gotten better ballpoint at the dollar store for a buck a pack of 10. Overall, a pretty disappointing purchase and a waste of the earth's precious resources because they're ending up in a landfill, mostly unused.

writes smooth and well packaged
For the past month, I have been obsessed with coloring. Especially with gel pens. I've been trying out many different ones. I've been using these, this week. I must say, they are actually pretty good. The gel pens write on smoothly. I love the many different colors. I love how they write on the paper. The seller also sent me a PDF of coloring sheets to download, so that was pretty cool. You get 48 pens which include: Classic, Pastel, Glitter, Metallic, & Neon ink, nicely packaged. My only drawback is that I some of the colors, but not all, are not all the way full as they should be. Unlike my other pens that I have and trust me, I have a lot..lol I keep buying gel pens because I go thru them fast. I have around 10 adult coloring books now.OVERALL: I feel these are a good buy, good pens and I do recommend them.

Smooth flowing, large variety Gel Pen Set
I've been using these on Whatever Is Lovely coloring book for adults - never colored with gel pens before. This has been a great experience because the gel pens flow smoothly, no need to grip tightly or press hard. -- There have been a few pens that are a bit 'scratchy' but (1) that can give a really nice effect, or (2) just go over it again and it is nicely covered. This set is comprised of: 12 glitter, 10 metallic, 6 neon, 6 rainbow, 9 pastel, and 5 standard pens. The pen tips are 0.8 - 1.0 mm. No duplicates. The colors are fun and bright. This is a great set for me as a beginner and I believe it would also be a nice set for someone more experienced.

Good value, good variety, moderately good quality
I bought these pens because I've been doing a lot of adult coloring, and I've seen people talking about gel pens a lot, while I've mostly been using ink pens (e.g., Staedtler Triplus). I wanted to experiment with gel pens without putting out a huge amount of money. This was a very good choice, and I'm glad I got them. They're conveniently packaged: inside the box, there are four snap-closed flexible plastic cases holding 12 pens each. There are 6 neon, 6 swirly, 12 regular (including white, and most of these can write visibly on black but not all), 12 metallic, and 12 glitter. Of these, I'd say the glitter are the most interesting, and the metallic are the ones I'm most likely to use in coloring, just to provide contrast in very fine lines. Most of the pens flow smoothly, but a significant number are scratchy and/or need to be shaken vigorously before the ink will start. I only just got them today, so I don't know how well they'll hold up or if they'll improve over time. If I'd paid a lot and had high hopes, I would be frustrated, but under the circumstances, I consider the quality perfectly reasonable - better than I would have expected. One disadvantage of the smooth vs scratchy differences is that it means that some of the pens (the smooth ones) make thicker lines than others (the scratchy ones). However, I think I've only done a few coloring pictures where the thicker line would have been too thick. I think they might have difficulty doing small but visible dots.A few of the colors are quite similar to others within the same sets, but not very many. Overall, it's a quite decent range, although because there are so many different kinds (metallic, neon, etc.), there aren't a whole lot of shades of color within each kind.I'm not likely to use these (or any gel pens) for most of my coloring. The colors aren't nuanced enough, and they're not deep/vivid enough to get the kind of rich color I get from ink pens and good colored pencils. However, I couldn't be sure of that until I tried them, and this was a really good way to explore the possibilities of gel pens. I encourage them for anyone who is experimenting with gel pens, or who just wants a nice, fun collection for a great price.
