I didn't purchase these for their intended purpose as a cat toy; rather, I teach physics and wanted some cheap lasers that students could hold in one hand while sprinkling dust to see the reflected laser beam. These are great for that use - the laser is only on while you hold the button (no draining the battery by leaving a switch on). The lights are bright.

I have an indoor cat just a little over a year old. He needs activity to keep him out of trouble. He loves the large light to follow. Much better than the ones I had purchased at pet shop (they take the round small batteries.) I like that this takes AAA batteries, which I usually have on hand. It is very sturdy.

The red laser pointer is perfect in brightness and a cat favorite.If you shine it in a dark room the dot is like a small lamp. Please be careful when use this with pets out of concern of accidental eye damage.
