My grandkids loved this. Age 4&5. We gave it during cicada infestation time. Both parts need batteries.

Our son loves catching bugs and studying them, this is a pretty cool setup. Only issue is that the suction is not as strong as it could be and should be. It would make a big difference on catching spiders.

Love the item but missing cover to the batteries for bug light enclosure. Was not in box or anything and can't get a new one. Hoping seller will send us a cover since it costs so much. We will see.

The gun will not spin. I tried 3 sets of brand new batteries that I know work in other product.

I purchased this for my niece’s 5th birthday. She is a bug enthusiast and was excited to use it. Unfortunately, the vacuum didn’t work. Thanks to Amazon, it was easy enough to send back & get a replacement, and the replacement worked fine. If you’re giving this as a gift, I recommend opening it in advance, installing batteries and checking to make sure it works before you give it to a child. My niece was disappointed that her present didn’t work right from the get go. Once we got the replacement, she was very happy with it. She liked the bug container as much as she liked the bug vacuum. She needed help catching bugs with the vacuum, but she was thrilled to watch the bugs in the container.

My son is 6 and he loves this! He catches insects and watches them constantly! It’s great quality and simple enough for him to use by himself! I would recommend this to everyone
