Allied Frame US Army Flag Display Case - a real treasure.
After searching through the many options available at Amazon and elsewhere, I ordered the Allied Frame US Army Flag Display Case to house my veteran father's burial flag. We are so very pleased with this item. We paid $65 shipping included. There were several options less expensive, and a number that were considerably more, but this was the right choice for us. It is lovely, of nice quality, and functions perfectly (we did press the flag more flat under weight for a few days to get an easy fit, something I'd recommend if your loved one's flag was folded slightly bulky like my dad's was.) The wood is smooth, finely grained, and stained in a very tasteful color. The matting and medal look to be of nice quality and add a very distinguished touch. I love the little extras, too, like the black velvet lining in the box, which holds the flag so nicely, and the felted bottom which protects our furniture. The case stands quietly and firmly upright (no fear of it tilting over) and the flag looks great in it. A real treasure. It arrived quickly and was very well packed. As soon as we got the flag into it we placed it on a console in our living room along with dad's photo. It looks so respectful and dignified. I've found myself saying over and over again - I am SO glad we chose THIS case! I think dad would be pleased.

Worth the cost
I purchased this cover for my father's coffin flag. It is well worth the cost. I selected the cherry wood and it is a perfect match to my living room furniture where the case it displayed. It is well made with smooth seams and edges. The finish is well polished and the glass is glued in place. The Army medallion is big enough to be seen without distracting from the flag. You can also get a personalize tag (which I didn't). It was delivered in a well packed box and arrived without any nicks or scratches. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a display case worth displaying in any room of the house.

What a nice gift!
My sister has my dad's memorial flag. She suggested i gift a case for the flag last Christmas. I finally got around to it this Christmas, found this display case as the last minute. Too late to gift it on Christmas, but it arrived the day after. I slipped the flag in the box and gave it to my sister. It is now on display on her entry table. We are so glad I ordered this one with the Air Force emblem. Now I think I need to find a frame to go with it for the letter Mom received from President Clinton when Dad passed away. Right now, we are enjoying the flag finally being on display in such a beautiful case.

Well made, fits funeral flag perfectly, and MADE IN THE USA
Made in USA! Close to Olive Drab matting on glass will cover any difficulties one has in trying to fold the flag perfectly so that, if you can't fold it quit right, no tucked in edge is visible. The Coat of Arms of the United States encircled by "United States Army" fits well. For a WW2 veteran, such as my father, some of the current logos reciting "Department of the Army" are inaccurate for soldiers discharged before the Department of the Army was created. Before the Dept of Defense was established in about 1947 and a new Departmen of the Army was created within DOD, it was, " The Department of War". This is much better. Only members of the US Army have been privileged to wear the Coat of Arms of the United States on their uniforms, and this case gives an Army veteran that appropriate privilege. Fits a VA funeral flag perfectly.

Wanted the Navy emblem
We chose this box because of the Navy emblem. The materials for the backing and the wood itself are a little flimsy. It is sleek and as advertised but the quality could be better or the price should be cheaper.Other solid oak boxes I have seen for $20 less, look and feel much more durable. The wood joints were a bit sloppy and I had to fill a small break in the joint with putty, as it was on the front and could be seen. The emblem insert is cardboard, but looks very nice. The backing is easy to take off and on as the holders pivot to close, but I can see it is already coming apart. Probably won't stand up to repeated use, but we won't be taking the flag in and out. Probably neither will most people. In summary a little disappointed that the price did not match the quality. But it fits the flag well and we love the emblem.
